House Whip James Clyburn (D-SC) and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) are holding the country hostage by not lifting the Congressional ban on drilling the Offshore Continental Shelf (OCS).

Oil Companies have stated they can have oil flowing from the OCS within two years of lifting the ban because the Government required “path to drill” has been started.

Much to the chagrin of the Speaker of the House and her Whip, in February, 2006, Bobby Jindal, then US Rep. (R-LA), Now Governor, introduced bill HR 4761. The bill repeals all Presidential and Congressional moratoria on drilling for oil & gas in federal waters. The bill gives sole power to states to decide on drilling within 100 miles off their coasts; the federal government has control after 100 miles. States already control the first 3 miles off their coasts. HR 4761 was needed because of the Aug. 29, 2005 Hurricane Katrina destruction of the Gulf Coast.

HR 4761 passed the House of Representatives 232-187 (192 Republicans and 40 Democrats voting yes, 31 Republicans, 155 Democrats and 1 Independent voting no). Since the Presidential Ban was a Presidential Directive, President Bush did not want to repeal the Presidential Ban at that time, which in my opinion was a big, big mistake because if he had then the congressional ban would have had to be lifted.

HR 4761 was not heard of until recently when the President did lift the ban. This is what Jindal said when he heard the news which reflects the Republican strategy:

BATON ROUGE — Today, Governor Bobby Jindal released the following statement on President Bush's announcement that he has lifted the executive order moratorium on offshore drilling off the coast of the United States.

Governor Jindal said, "The President's announcement today is a positive signal for Louisiana and our nation. The reality is that we are in an energy crisis that has been in the works for years. We need a comprehensive, balanced energy policy from the federal government that pursues everything simultaneously, from more offshore drilling to exploring nuclear, solar and wind alternative energy sources, and increasing conservation efforts.

"This news today is especially encouraging to Louisiana as we continue to work toward being the energy technology capital of the world. We will pursue incentives and tax policies to position our state as a national leader in reducing our country's dependence on foreign sources of oil."

Bobby Jindal wants the drilling to start right now, off the coast of Louisiana, so he can start paying down the debt of rebuilding and pay their share of the levee repairs. Hold on Bobby, here comes Washington to help.

Now Pelosi and Clyburn decided drilling offshore was not the way to go and will not allow a new vote to be taken for drilling the OCS, they then proceeded to fabricate the talking points which you will hear most Democrats parrot in their statements:

• Oil companies do not need new areas to drill. They need to focus on areas that are already opened to them. Of the 42 million acres of Federal land currently leased by oil and gas companies, only about 12 million acres are actually being drilled to produce oil and natural gas. If the Republican claims about more drilling are correct, why aren’t they demanding Big Oil explore drilling on the 30 million acres of Federal land that are already open to them but that they refuse to explore?”

Clyburn’s Web Site reflects the Pelosi’s talking points statement and reflects his views that his South Carolina Congressional District, and the country will have to live with, at least until the November elections is:

 “Democrats want to take immediate steps to increase American oil production.  That’s why we are pushing oil companies to start drilling on the more than 80 million acres of American land that is available to them right now, 68 million in the lower 48 states and another 15 to 23 million acres in Alaska.   The oil companies have the potential to produce from those acres an additional 7.8 million barrels of oil and over 60 billion cubic feet of natural gas each day.  I can think of only one reason the oil companies aren't drilling on that land -- they want demand and prices to remain high.” (This is called stupid and Pelosi’s statement is 42 million and now all of a sudden Clyburn says we have 80 million). 

”While “a box of crayons and a picture of an oil derrick” may be some people’s vision of our nation’s future energy policies, I am more inclined to take a more enlighten and long range approach. Congressional Democrats are supporting an innovations agenda that seeks to make America energy independent by 2020.  We can achieve that goal, but only if we are willing to look forward and not backwards”. (Do both stupid).

This “Kiss My Butt” statement after the visit was also parroted on June 24, Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama used this argument in a speech in Nevada: The oil companies already own drilling rights to 68 million acres of federal lands, onshore and offshore, that they haven't touched. 68 million acres that have the potential to nearly double America's total oil production. (Dumb statement and not true, now for some reason the 68 million acres includes off-shore leases which they don’t allow drilling).

The charge has been repeated by Nancy Pelosi and others in their party. However; One SC Democrat is for more drilling and clarified the talking points based on reality.

John Spratt (D-SC) press release of July 23, 2008 states: "I am for anything responsible that will bring down prices, whether it’s more drilling or less speculation. But everyone should know that we are drilling more now. The number of drilling permits grew by 360% between 1999 and 2007. Over the last four years, the government issued 28,776 permits to drill, roughly 10,000 of which remain unused. On-shore, 47.5 million acres of federal land are under lease, but only 13 million acres are producing oil or gas. Off-shore, 44 million acres are under lease, but only 10.5 million acres are in production.

"If the 68 million acres leased but not used were put in production, it would help close the gap. I voted to open 8.3 million acres to drilling in the eastern Gulf of Mexico, and more recently voted to tell the companies sitting on their leases, ‘use it or lose it.’ (We drill for oil not acres. There could be only enough oil for one rig under the 10,000 acres).

 Here is the real story of on-shore leases

”According to the U.S. Department of the Interior's Mineral Management Service (MMS), there are nearly 68 million acres of federal lands (onshore and off) that are part of non-producing leases as of fiscal year 2007. This is in contrast to 25.7 million acres of leased lands that are producing oil. So, there are 68 million acres of leased land on which companies aren't extracting oil, but Obama went too far when he said oil companies "haven't touched" them. As Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Petroleum Engineer Bill Gewecke, who manages the onshore sites, told us, he "wouldn't say untouched, [I] would say undeveloped."

”That's because these leased lands that don't contain productive drilling operations likely are not lying idle as Obama implies. There are a lot of steps and procedures involved in setting up a productive oil well on leased land, both onshore and off. The Bureau of Land Management's Web site lists the regulatory hurdles that need to be cleared as part of the larger five-step life cycle of a well. The path to setting up an offshore drilling operation is even longer, as shown in a large flow chart developed by the MMS”.

And there is a lot of activity occurring on leased lands that does not qualify as "production." For 2006, the BLM reported that there were 77,257 productive holes onshore in the U.S. Beyond that, there were 6,738 applications for drilling permits, 4,708 holes in which companies had begun drilling and 3,693 where drilling had ended among onshore lands. That's a total of more than 15,000 holes that were being proposed, started or finished that do not count as "productive" holes. And that doesn't even include holes that might have been continually drilled throughout the year for exploratory reasons.

It's not known how much of that drilling is taking place on leases currently classified as "non-producing" and how much is taking place on leases that are already producing oil. BLM's Gewecke told us that the agency does not track acreage that is being developed or explored. And Andy Radford, an analyst with the American Petroleum Institute, an industry trade association, told us that the oil companies are "very secretive about announcing where they are testing, exploring and thinking of drilling because the industry is very competitive."

The Democrats are making this a political issue for the November elections and they are distorting facts, making it appear that the President is causing all this to happen. If you go to Pelosi’s Web Site you will see a graphic depicting the price of oil difference since President Bush took office. The real fact is the price made that jump only after Pelosi became Speaker of the house and Obama started running for President,  talking about taxing the oil company’s profits, taking away exploration and development subsidies, which would delay drilling and increase our dependency on the foreign oil market, and raising the capital-gains taxes.   

Of course Speculators took it to mean that the prices would rise dramatically and started buying which drove the per barrel price up. Big users such as, airlines, cruise and merchant marine lines, and other countries started buying to lock in the low price before the price went up as well. All this put undue pressure on the oil suppliers which is why we are in this mess of almost $5 per gallon gas. 

When the President lifted the Presidential ban, barrel prices dropped $9 the first day and are still going lower. This one action equated to about $.20 lower in our gas prices in SC.

If the Bush tax cuts were announced to be extended you would see the price of oil barrels drop dramatically as well.

In contrast to Clyburn, My Congressman Henry E. Brown, Jr. (SC), long-time supporter of offshore exploration and the Representative of more than 75% of the coast of South Carolina, joined fellow House Republicans at a press conference to unveil their American Energy Act.   After the event, Brown issued the following statement:

“Over the past months, I have heard an outcry from my coastal constituents as recreational and commercial fishermen, shrimpers and tour boat operators are being hurt with every increase in the price of diesel fuel. A large number of visitors that come to our beaches and historic sites travel by automobile.  The daily commute of our residents is growing more expensive.  Gas prices have become unaffordable and we must move to increase environmentally responsible domestic energy production”.

“We can no longer hope that the problem will go away.  Our country is blessed with abundant resources.  We must view our energy resources as an asset not as a liability.  We must take action immediately and vote on this legislation to allow more domestic energy to be produced by Americans, for Americans.”

Isn’t it funny that all the South Carolina Republicans and one Democrat Congressmen, our two Senators, hear their constituents and the country say DRILL NOW, any where, and only James Clyburn (D-SC) is hearing his constituents and the country saying DON’T drill the OCS AT ALL just tax the oil companies.

Clyburn’s 6^th District has a population of 668,670, 60% of them are minority, with a medium income of $28,967. I don’t no for sure but I bet at least 50% his constituents are receiving government checks for their “daily bread”. These people must be screaming about not only the gas prices, but also the price of food. So the poorest part of South Carolina is taking the brunt of Clyburn’s decision not to drill for oil and being held Hostage and they are letting him get away with it.

Here’s is a man who is pulling in a salary of $165,700, telling people making $29,000, I know what’s best for you and by the way, why don’t you go to the one of the non-profit offices that I support with government money, and collect your part of the “pie”.  Sounds like “BOSS HOSS”. But really he is only Pelosi’s whipping boy doing and saying what she tells him to do.

You tell me who is doing what to whom? Follow the money is the answer to that question: Democrats are split on a plan by U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-NV., aimed at protecting them, the Democrats, not us, in the face of controversial oil drilling proposals.

A number of Senate and U.S. House of Representatives, Democrats, have sided with environmental groups, (one of the biggest contributors to the Democrats,) against Reid's plan to allow additional offshore areas to be opened to oil exploration and drilling. Reid had hoped the proposal would insulate Senate Democratic Party candidates from public anger over rising gas prices, The Hill, a Washington newspaper, reported Tuesday. (At least they know we are mad but to bad it’s all about them, not us.)

On Clyburn’s Web Site he uses a Dr. Patrick Moore, the former director of Greenpeace, as his source, for him not wanting to drill. Clyburn wants to use food and plants to produce Bio-fuel so we can become oil independent by 2020. The problem Bio-fuel cost more to produce and you need twice as much because of the BTU ratio and food crops are seasonal and there is not enough land to grow the crop source we need. Bio-fuel has a major impact on the price of food not only because of the demand for it but in getting it to market.

As I said on a previous BLOG post “Another Hoax, Energy Independence” oil, petroleum, is use in just about everything see and touch and even ware, the same way corn is used in just about everything we eat and drink. Even the nuclear power raw material, uranium, is imported from at least seven other countries. We will always have a foreign dependence on oil, ethanol, and uranium because the world’s growth rate will be between 7% and 27% by the year 2050. We better start using the word “interdependency” when we talk about energy. Independence only allows the Democrats a CYA, by pushing dates way out so you will forget about any real near term solutions.

Clyburn is just playing politics and keeping us more dependent on the 70% foreign oil we get currently and making us HOSTAGES for ever. It all boils down to the Democrats would rather let the Nation and its’ citizens go to HELL than to lose the elections.  We should explore, drill, and refine oil, mine our coal any where and any way we can, and continue to import, while finding or developing alternative energy sources. We should utilize nuclear energy to its’ fullest and yes import the uranium. We should not explore or depend on fuel sources, such as seasonal crops, which put out country’s food source at risk. It will be a big waste of time and money.

Now these two so called Lawmakers had the gall to walk out of the Capital and turn out the lights and CSPAN, go on vacation for 5 weeks, while the Republicans were still debating the oil issue on the floor. It is our money that pays for that building and we don’t want a Socialistic Dictator telling us what to do. In a Democracy we tell them what we want and 76% of us want to Drill Now, Pay Less and keep drilling, mining and nuking, until there are better solutions available.  

 It is time to vote the Socialistic big Government BUMS OUT of office. A blockade on the Capital building is needed, to not let them back in after their August recess.  Like we would notice any difference.          

Nancy Pelosi and James Clyburn's Trip to the Gulf States:

Did the new Governor Bobby Jindal ask for help? What he did ask for was drilling for oil off the coast so that his State could pay off their own depth and their share of the levee repairs by using the some of the oil lease royalties. House Speaker Pelosi and Whip Clyburn said “NO” you don’t need to drill offshore and offered up the following cure, after a 22 member delegation (Hi, we are from Washington and we are here to help by making you dependent on the Government for your daily bread) tour:

Clyburn said “We’ve heard about the needs in housing, health care, infrastructure, education, small business, criminal justice and insurance reform.  And once again, (last year they said the same thing) we’re committed to providing additional federal assistance in these areas.  We’re committed to relieving any excessive financial burden on Gulf Coast recovery like state cost-share and federal regulatory responsibilities.  And we will work on legislation to investigate the failure of the federal government to respond to this disaster”. Called CYA.

In other words we will help, but first we have to find a way to blame the failure on the Bush administration and not the corrupt State and City Government prior to the new Governor Jindal.

The background on all of this that before, during and after Katrina the Democrats running the City of New Orleans and the State of Louisiana failed the people, mostly Blacks. They had a thousand school busses that could have been used for evacuation purposes, days before Katrina hit, but instead, let them sit there and get ruined by the flood. They refused Red Cross food and help and denied consent, for days, that could have allow President Bush to send federal troops in for security and delivery of supplies even when he called the Governor several times. Remember the Mayor and the Police took off to higher ground.

The Posse Comitatus Act of 1878 along with The Insurrection Act of 1807substantially limit the powers of the federal government to use the military for law enforcement without a Governor’s consent.

The Posse Comitatus Act is a United States federal law (18 U.S.C. § 1385) passed on June 16, 1878 after the end of Reconstruction. The Act prohibits most members of the federal uniformed services (the Army, Air Force, and State National Guard forces when such are called into federal service) from exercising nominally state law enforcement police or peace officer powers that maintain "law and order" on non-federal property (states, their counties and municipal divisions) in the former Confederate states.

The statute generally prohibits federal military personnel and units of the United States National Guard under federal authority from acting in a law enforcement capacity within the United States, except where expressly authorized by the Constitution or Congress. The Coast Guard is exempt from the Posse Comitatus Act.

The Insurrection Act of 1807 is the set of laws that govern the President of the United States of America's ability to deploy troops within the United States to put down lawlessness, insurrection and rebellion. The laws are chiefly contained in 10 U.S.C. § 331 - 10 U.S.C. § 335. The general aim is to limit Presidential power as much as possible, relying on state and local governments for initial response in the event of insurrection. Coupled with the Posse Comitatus Act, Presidential powers for law enforcement are limited and delayed.

The Democrats were all over President for the delayed response, so much so that he asked Congress to have Insurrection Act changed to handle natural disasters, not just insurrections, such as Katrina:

On September 30, 2006, the Congress modified the Insurrection Act as part of the 2007 Defense Authorization Bill. Section 1076 of the new law changes Sec. 333 of the "Insurrection Act," and widens the President's ability to deploy troops within the United States to enforce the laws. Under this act, the President may also deploy troops as a police force during a natural disaster, epidemic, serious public health emergency, terrorist attack, or other condition, when the President determines that the authorities of the state are incapable of maintaining public order. The bill also modified Sec. 334 of the Insurrection Act, giving the President authority to order the dispersal of either insurgents or "those obstructing the enforcement of the laws." The new law changed the name of the chapter from "Insurrection" to "Enforcement of the Laws to Restore Public Order."

Patrick Leahy, the Democrat Senator from Vt., said the bill was nothing more than giving the President absolute power of invoking “Martial Law” which he told to the Press and he and Sen. Kit Bond (R-Mo) led the opposition and had the new version of the law repealed.

The problem is that the Democrats can not make up their mind if they want a President to respond faster or wait for completely incompetent and corrupt Democrat State Governments such as was in place when Katrina hit Louisiana to ask. Another CYA           

The real reason Pelosi and Clyburn said “NO” was to cover up their vote in 2001 when they, the Democrats, blocked an appropriations bill which had $540 Million in it for repairing the levees.      

This is the real story behind the Clyburn/Pelosi vacation trip to Louisiana at our expense. They will be back next year with a different story but still committed, depending on how the elections go. 

It went something like this. The American troops after invading Iraq in 2003 found 550 metric tons of yellow cake nuclear seed material that they later found out was purchased from Niger by Saddam Hussein. In the time between Saddam was told by the UN to disclose the ware bouts of his nuclear cachet and the time the US troops invaded he was still trying to purchase the more yellow cake material from Niger.

For some reason Valerie Plame, who claimed she was outed by the Bush administration, decided to lobby some low lever CIA official which sent her husband, Joe Wilson a former U.S. Ambassador, to Niger under operational clearance, to fine out if there was any truth that Saddam Hussein was trying to purchase “uranium yellow cake”. After Wilson was debriefed by the CIA it was concluded that he had not learn if the report was true or not but he claimed that there was no contact. According to the Senate Intelligence Committee, the debriefers didn’t share Wilson’s information with, among others, the White House because they concluded Wilson didn't come up with much. Plame said she was outed to retaliate against her husband, former Ambassador Joe Wilson, because he reported no evidence of any meeting discussing yellow cake took place  

Wilson never wrote a formal report, when he returned, but he did write an July 6, 2003 op-ed in the N.Y. Times in which he wrote that there was no evidence that Saddam Hussein sought yellowcake uranium from Niger, and that he had told that fact to the administration which rejected it, and that President Bush lied to the nation to justify the war when, during his January 2003 State of the Union address. President Bush had said that “the British Government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa.”  Iraqi Prime Minster, Nouri al Maliki, later confirmed that Saddam Hussein had been trying to purchase uranium yellow cake from Niger.

Now it seems the Bush Administration as well as the Tony Blair Administration has been living with a horrendous burden and taking heat from the American and British people as well as the U.S. Congress that they lied about Saddam Hussein’s nuclear ambitions just to go to war. The fact is when U.S. Troops invaded Iraq they found 550 metric tons of “uranium yellow cake” but both administrations had to keep it under raps for five years for fear of having it stolen by Al Qaada.

The Associated Press on July 6, 2008 reported on the find and explained why and how they had to guard this stuff on a 23,000 acre site and where they disposed of it.

I for one have never thought the President would have lied about the reason for going into Iraq. No President in his right mind would do something like that. Now it’s time to do some apologizing to President Bush. He took the heat from the Democrats and the far left BLOGS. It’s time to admit that this President is a World Leader, saw the danger, and took it on the chin at the cost of very high cost and lowing ratings (let them eat cake).He kept this secret even when former Ambassador Joe Wilson, former CIA operative, Valerie Plame the Ambassador’s wife, and a former deputy secretary of state Richard L. Armitage were conspiring to take him down.  

Black Suppression:

The suppression of our black citizens by these so called black leaders, such as Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton and many black preachers, (BLOG post Can Wright be Right) has to stop.

These guys maintain control, hence obtain great wealth, by telling our black citizens that they are different from the white citizenry, they are in color only, but they, the black leaders, tell them that whitey keeps them down and from getting good jobs and they should be getting  preferential treatment over whites because of their Slave bloodline.

Black leaders have belittled black men like Bill Cosby, Thomas Sowell and many others, who drive them crazy, when they tell black audiences to stop having babies in their teens, telling black men to stay in school and get good jobs, be responsible for the kids they father. These so called black men of the cloth have even suggested the black people have to be taught differently because they learn from the opposite side of the brain.

It seems to me that black citizens who make something of themselves threaten these black leaders and their livelihood, they call them Uncle Toms and accuse them of talking down to their black brothers. There are a lot of good role models and Obama is one of them. He made something of himself and is now running for President of the United States. Just because he takes a positive position on President Bush’s “Faith Based Initiative” and wants to expand it, Jesse Jackson said Obama was talking down to the black citizens and that he wants to cut off his nuts. This is typical and they even called Obama the first white, black President. Obama didn’t come from “slave blood” but he came up through and endured the many of the same hardships as they did and these remarks are intra-racially prejudicial and these so call black leaders are the ones putting down our black citizens.

Our black citizens have to get out of the “Slave/Plantation” mindset. Nobody is going to give them money because of what happened generations ago, as they have been told. They, themselves have to get control of their lives and families. They don’t need any help from the black suppressors, they have to leave churches that preach vile and hate and integrate into white, socially uplifting, Christian churches. They have to get an education and get away from the generations depending on the government for their daily bread. Those who don’t will continue to suffer.

They are black, but they are Americans first.        

Oil, Energy, Politics:

Ask questions and you will learn.

The question I asked was “why do the Gas Stations raise the price of gas when their inventory, in their ground tanks was purchased at a lower price.  The answer makes common sense.

The Gas Stations are retailers and buy the gas from wholesale gas distributors at a certain price, for sake of this example, let’s say $1.00 per gallon, they apply their profit margin and sell it to the consumer.  During the time the gas is being pumped from their in the ground tank the wholesale price goes up to $2.00 per gallon. If the Gas Station does not raise the per gallon price at the pump to meet the cost of replacement of the gas in the ground tank, they, the Gas Station, will not have the money to refill their inventory in the ground, which now has to be purchased at $2.00 per gallon. They will be $1.00 per gallon behind, thereby, losing money each time they order.  Obviously, over very small period of time, the Gas Station would go out of business paying the difference.

So now I have the confidence to know that the guy in the corner is not ripping me off so where would I look next.  I am going to start with trying to understand the proposed wind-fall profit tax.

I can tell you up front that not any of the big oil companies pay any taxes.  In other words the government can tax them all they want and they will just pass them along to the consumers.  California Sen. Barbara Boxer, sponsorship of S.3044 “the windfall profits tax” is one of her typical do something not knowing what she doing.  Her logic is “the oil companies could avoid paying the tax by using their "windfall" to push alternative energy programs or refinery expansions”.

Now don’t you think if the oil companies could build new refineries they would do it without Boxer’s incentive? The problem is not the refineries it’s not getting enough oil to refine and even though some refineries are being expanded and built, the oil companies have been hamstrung by the politicians, because refineries are not the best looking structures, like Senator Harry Reid, the new U-Tube star telling the public we are all dying from oil and coal. He certainly looks and sounds like he is. Harry our life expectancy is on the rise and guess what, we are all going to die any way you, idiot.   

Politics is our problem, congress is trying SCAM us with another HOAX and is for what ever reason been making us more dependent on foreign oil then we should. You see they can’t see the forest from the trees. They seem to forget oil is just not putting gas in our cars and heating and cooling our homes, but oil is use to produce many other items such as plastic.  I am sitting at a desk, made of plastic, entering the document into my computer, made of plastic, and just printed out an E-Mail on my plastic printer, looking through my glasses with plastic lens, drinking from a plastic water bottle and have slippers on with plastic soles. I would be lost.

This is a monumental crisis and the fact that we think the same people who got us into this mess have the intelligence to get us out is just as stupid as thinking more taxing is going to cause gas prices to drop. 

We got SCAMED into relying on our Federal Government to make sure there would be enough oil for all and as the old saying goes, “if you depend on the government for your daily bread we will have submit to the government demands or in case high oil prices”

States have to take maters into there own hands. They should drill for oil if they have it available, they should mine coal and use it, they have to apply for building nuclear reactors and use them. The Federal Government can not stop the states from drilling for oil and obtaining other fuel resources available to them.

Environmentalists, dig yourselves a deep hole with a glass roof, but stay out of the way.                 

Once again we Americans are facing a “Storm Over The Land” much like the one Carl Sandburg wrote about in is book by the same title. He was describing the lead up to the” war between the states”, or Civil War, but the cycle of events can be paralleled when describing the situation we are experiencing now.

Our storm started brewing after the resignation of President Richard Nixon for Watergate cover up. The first clue was the ending of another war which we were wining when the United States Congress pulled the funding and hundreds of thousands people were killed and mascaraed as the result. The liberal media was portraying the Vietnam action has lost and the American people bought into it demonstrating on college campuses and in the streets. Gerald Ford took over and pardoned Nixon of all crimes past, present or future.

Sound Familiar, Harry Reid comes to mind.

The economy was exploited by the liberal left as in the tank much like their doing now. Gerald Ford was not reelected, because of the Nixon pardon, and the people were ready for the “change”.

Then out of no where came a peanut farmer from Georgia with a message of “change” which seemed to resonate with the people, much like Obama’s message of “change” is perceived today. Jimmy Carter was a southern gentleman who talked about what we’ve been through, and after the trauma of Watergate, he sounded good enough to convince the masses to vote for him. His slogan was “Hi, I’m Jimmy Carter, I’m running for President”. Sitting in his rocking chair next to the fireplace, in his sweater using his southern twang, during his so called fireside chats with the American people, he actually mesmerized the majority of the population and defeated Ford handedly.

Carter, being from the south, the American people figured he was conservative enough to get us out our problems. The first bolt of lighting came when gasoline supplies became very limited and Carter decided big Government could solve this problem. He decided to implement gas rationing which was not thought out and caused the unintended consequence of extra long waiting lines at all the gas stations, tempers flared, and fighting broke out and people were being were stranded and killed all across the country. This was the first inkling that Carter was not what everybody thought, he was just whistling Dixie.

Has it turned out, Carter had no idea how to deal a sagging economy. He started throwing money at problems and spending more than was coming in and then he taxed some more. Interest rates reach and all time high of 17%, the lines at the gas stations were still long.

Then the Iran hostage crisis happened and again with no foreign policy experience every thing he did to free the hostages ended up being a great embarrassment to the United States.

As far as the American people were concern this was a crisis of major proportions, which we should have learned from. They could not buy the things they needed, the unemployment rate was at an all time high and they could not buy a home. They were riding bicycles, taking buses, or walking to work. 

Now Obama has made a case that our current economy is in the tank and the hedge-fund,     home mortgage sub-prime market, and the price of oil was all caused by the Bush administration policies. Ask him to explain just what Bush did to cause it he will say the war in Iraq. Obama also believes that we have the worst health care in the world and we have millions of poor people who can’t afford it. He believes that we should model ourselves after the European Union. He might want to pick one country to model because all 27 countries have different plans. He says the he will give everybody the opportunity to have the same health plans as congress, which is basically the French model. 

But Obama’s message of “change” which is big government rule is exactly why this country was founded. Obama does not look back into history, but this is so fundamental, that the pilgrims came to these shores to escape intrusive government and to have freedom from government mandated religions.  

The Carter administration was a disaster and the words of the cowboy actor, Ronald Reagan, “are you better off today than you were four years ago” rang clear and were enough to bring down Carter’s hope to have another try at being President. Reagan’s message was that we need less government in our lives, less taxes and a strong military to end the cold war with the USSR.

This is the message we need to hear today. We are facing a more perfect storm, the war on terror. This is not WW II, Korea or Vietnam as the Neanderthals in Congress would have us think. This is a radical religious war, one with no boundaries, terrorists with no other purpose but to kill anybody and everybody who doesn’t agree their ways or believe in radical fundamentalist Islam. As long as there is one radical Islamic alive, this war will continue.

To make our storm a more perfect one we have, Liberal Europeanism alive and well within the Congress of the United States and leading the charge is Barack Obama. This man is perfect for the job because he is totally inexperienced and he can be guided by the Neanderthals in Congress who want total control of the people through taxing as much as he does.  

 The liberal left did a good job of demonizing just about everything the Republicans have done and especially the President. They feel it is the time to trounce on the public who fell for this nonsense before and just want “change”. I would say that the people do want change, after all the big Government we have currently and, along with radical environmentalist, the Hollywood set, and labor union lobbys all who has their claws into the Democrat party. They fund and endorse the left in congress and do the same with the radical left web-sites and BLOGS. They have convinced the mainstream media both, print and television, that they should be their reporting arm. The socialist labor unions are dictating foreign policy and trade agreements. Labor unions have control of the employee employer relations, using strikes and contract restrictions that have tied the hands of our manufacturing industry so much so that they have had to send their business to other States that have right to work laws, or overseas. Labor unions have organized just about all civil service agencies and in my opinion all have become diasterous.

The liberal left has control of all levels of our public schools and colleges, have allowed  our country to be inundated with illegal immigrants and support making them dependent on our social services.

This is why this election is about “change”. The question is what kind of “change” do we want? Obama wants massive governmental control of the people and wants to build on what his socialist Democrat party has managed to get through the Congress in order get more control and reelected.

I saw a TV news segment showing a woman standing in the midst of the aftermath of the recent horrendous earthquake in China. Everything was leveled and she was the tallest object in view. She was asked by a reporter from an international news service what she was going to do next. Her answer was I will just wait here for the government to take care of me.

In my opinion, anybody who would allow themselves, to be dependent on the Government for their “daily bread” they will eventually have to submit to the demands of the Government.

This is the type of government Obama is talking about. He will get control of us utilizing massive tax increases and more government entitlements. This has already started, about 1/3 (GAO) of our population depends on the government, for their livelihood. Our school dropout rate running about 50% or more, the influx of uneducated, non-speaking illegal and legal immigrants is beginning to climb even more rapidly. If the Democrats get overriding control of congress even with out winning the Presidency you could see massive amnesty Bills, which could easily raise the government dependency to over 50%. At this point we will be living the European life style and the Democrats will have their day. They will create alphabet soup agencies just like FDR did. They will allow Union control of  all Government agencies. The rate of people working for the Government will climb to the point they will exploited with their own tax money.

Socialism and Communism come to mind. 

Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness is endowed by our creator not from our Government. We are supposed to have them, and our Democracy demands, a government abides by the rules of law, is transparent and accountable to the people, a government not in control of our educational system, and one that does not prevent our military or security agencies from protecting our country. We must have a free and unbiased press and be able to freely trade with the international community.

Yes, this election is about “change” and we have clear and definitive differences between the two parties. We can either vote for a continuation of the expansion of socialism or for a Democracy as it was meant to be. We made this choice four years ago (2004) when we reelected Present Bush along with enough seats in both houses of Congress to provide a clear path to regain our democratic principals. However the Republican Party decided not to exercise their majority position, instead they decided to be like Democrats and spend like there was no tomorrow as well as get entangled with lobbyists and morality issues. They were right there was no tomorrow and in 2006 they lost control of both houses but still maintained a filibuster position in them. I am sure they learned their lesson.

We must elect people who are not looking to just keep getting elected. We need people who will focus on the Constitution of the United States. We must get Neanderthals out of our Government.   We must appoint judges who will understand what their jobs are. We can only use our vote to do it and it must be done at every level of Government, local, County, State, and school boards. We must decide how long they should be in office, such as three terms for US Senators and four terms for a US House Representative, when they complete their terms vote them out of office no matter what. The Governments will not, in most cases, a vote to allow term limits for themselves, especially at the federal level, but we, the voters, can take matters in our own hands and just vote them out when their time comes.

Campaigns must also be controlled. There is no reason a US Senator or US House Representatives have to go out of their State or District soliciting campaign donations. There is no reason anybody should receive money form PACs, labor or other lobbing organizations, DNC or RNC or local special interest groups. Each elected official, except the President of the United States, should get campaign funds only from the individuals they represent.              

First we got the border fence but no money, then, we got the money but no fence. Now we have all the political candidates telling us, if they get elected, we will get Energy Independence at the same time trying to pass another Hoax bill. Lets face it oil is not going anywhere soon or later for that matter.

It’s not in the cards or do I think we should ever be energy independence and we should stop thinking about that because it is hampering our discussions on how to solve situations like this in the future. If we feel that we should be energy independent and put all our efforts into that we will only put off solutions that will get us back on a true path of recovery.

We should think of energy as a global business and oil companies as just one of the implementers of energy along with other industries such as coal, garbage, nuclear, solar, wind, corn and soybean.

In the United States we have enough oil reserves off our coasts and under our land to maybe produce about what is needed for the fuel industries currently. Oil is used for many other industries as well and with the growth projection being anywhere from 7% to 27% worldwide by 2050 we can never become energy independent even if we could maximize all our other resources 100%.

Reality check: We must stop listening to our liberal politicians and the Hollywood actors and start using common sense. We don’t have enough land to grow the renewable resources for bio-fuel (ethanol) and what is required to feed us. We can’t plant enough soybeans to produce enough bio-diesel to fuel our truck fleets for one day. Any fuel source we grow will diminish over time because of the need to house the population’s projected growth. They are also not cheaper than oil and we will, from the start, be dependent on imports form other countries.

We also have to think about how we use petroleum other than fuel. Its’ used in a thousands other products that are vital to our every day life, too numerous to mention here. Corn is much like oil and is used in just about every thing we eat and drink. The only difference is that corn has usually one crop harvest per year in North America. Today we import corn in the off season just to have enough to eat form Mexico and Latin America and a lot of that is flash frozen or canned for use when their season is over.

So let’s cut the ‘crap” our importation of oil and all other products will continue as today, therefore we should start thinking about “interdependency” the method we have been using for most of other products and vital commodities for years.

I spent the first part of my working career in a very exciting field, the transition from transistors to silicon semiconductors and where do you think we obtained the silicon from the very start? South America and that was back the early 1960s.

 Interdependency, however, does not mean we should do nothing. We should explore, drill, and refine oil, mine our coal any where and any way we can, and continue to import, while finding or developing alternative energy sources. We should utilize nuclear energy to its’ fullest and yes import the uranium from at least the 7 countries we get it from today. We should not explore or depend on fuel sources, such as seasonal crops, which put out country’s food source at risk, it will be a big waste of time and money.

The United States Congress should stop making energy a political issue and come up with ways to clear the hurdles, instead of trying to pass the Lieberman-Warner Climate Security Act, at the same time provide incentives in the form of verifiable grants to technology companies for the development of more efficient ways to fuel our cars and heat and cool our homes.

Don’t ever listen or believe we will ever be energy independent and don’t support this stupid Climate Security Act, because it is nothing more than a giant tax scam. In this global business environment of energy and other vital resources and products, interdependency is the only way we can exist.  

By the way if Carbon Dioxide is causing global warming, why is Mars frozen when its’ atmosphere is 75% Carbon Dioxide? This is another discussion for another time.     

I was listening to the Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s speech at the National Press Club and again I was struck right between my eyes when he said that “this was not about him it was about the Black Church”.

My God, I think I understand why the Black population in this country are doing what they’re doing. First the Black Population are the way they are because they think the White population looks at them through SLAVE colored glasses and therefore feel they are inferior.

Rev. Wright and other Black Preachers reinforce this premise by telling their congregations things like the White Government invented HIV to kill off Blacks and with fiery sermons that suppress and depress them. The Black Churches are aligned with the Democrat party, who by the way was not the party that pushed through the Civil Rights legislation in Congress back in LBJ’s time, who wants to keep them from getting ahead in life, keep them poor and dependent on the Government with bribes of help and money, because without them the Democrat Party would have no reason to survive.

It now appears that the Preachers in majority of Black Churches have been doing the same thing Rev. Wright has been doing for the past twenty years or more. Obama said that “the most segregated hour of American life occurs on Sunday morning”. The Black Radical Christian movement has been happening in Black Churches, not under our noses but right in front of us and it is sure working which is proven by some of the glaring depressing statistics that we see and hear about every day and have become an acceptable way of life.

A high level of Black male dropouts is significant because they are the ones who would be working making higher wages. Blacks have problems with speaking English, job skills, segregation, transportation, child care, and the effects of incarceration. The Blacks tend to have generations of children, with one parent and no child support, well, except for the government.

All these factors make for low wage jobs, high unemployment and certainly less viable for Black women.

On top of all this the Black preachers are telling their congregations that their kids can not be taught the same way as white kids and they should demand a new way of teaching. They should fight for “Racial Norming test scores”. In other words make white kids as stupid as the Black kids. I guess they learn from a different side of the brain or something, B.S.

I think they are stupid because that is what they are told by the more successful Blacks, in fact didn’t Obama’s wife tell Black college students not to aim for the high paying corporate jobs and help the poor Blacks instead. Now college graduates will be collecting Government checks. The poor Blacks don’t employ anyone. The Democrats just keep on giving. The Democrats encourage Blacks to remain in poverty and to be dependent on the Government. They will receive handouts as long as the see themselves as victims. 

The National Black Republican Association’s Frances Rice describes the Democrat Party as the architect of modern-day racism.  Little known by many today is the fact that it was Republican Senator Everett Dirksen from Illinois, not Democrat President Lyndon Johnson, who pushed through the civil rights laws of the 1960’s.  In fact, Dirksen was key to the passage of civil rights legislation in 1957, 1960, 1964, 1965 and 1968.  Dirksen wrote the language for the 1965 Voting Rights Act.  Dirksen also crafted the language for the Civil Rights Act of 1968 which prohibited discrimination in housing.

Rice continues by saying what is always omitted from discussions today are significant facts about the struggle to pass the landmark 1964 Civil Rights Act.  The law guaranteed equal access to public facilities and banned racial discrimination by any entity receiving federal government financing.  The law was an update of Republican Charles Sumner's 1875 Civil Rights Act which had been stuck down by the Democrat-controlled US Supreme Court in 1883.

The chief opponents of the 1964 Civil Rights Act were Democrat Senators Sam Ervin, Albert Gore, Sr. and Robert Byrd.  Senator Byrd, a former member of the Ku Klux Klan, filibustered against the bill for 14 straight hours before the final vote.  Former Presidential candidate Richard Nixon lobbied hard for the passage of the bill.  When the bill finally came up for a vote, the House of Representatives passed the bill by 289 to 124.  80% of Republicans in the House of Representatives voted yes, and only 63% of Democrats voted yes.  The Senate vote was 73 to 27, with 21 Democrats in the Senate voting no, and only 6 Republicans voting no.

Wright’s statements such as,” no black man will ever be considered for president, no black woman can ever be considered for anything outside what she can give with her body”. We, the U.S.A., believe in importing drugs, and the exporting of guns.  Wright still keeps on giving, the U.S. believes in white supremacy and black inferiority, racism is how this country was founded and how it is still being run.         

If Wright is right and his brand of garbage is being preached in the thousands of Black churches across this country it is amazing we are not experiencing Black Watts type riots taking place every Sunday afternoon.

On the back cover of the book “SCAM” by Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, two black educated men, who must have survived Black Radical Christianity, Walter E Williams, Professor of economics at George Mason University and Dr. Earl Ofari Hutchinson, nationally syndicated columnist, both agree that Black politicians and civil-rights deliver one disaster after another for Black Americans, and the self appointed so-called Black leaders have made long and lucrative careers posing as the mouthpieces for  the Black.

Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan, Al Sharpton, and others, are lying about why Blacks are in trouble. These so-called leaders profit by creating hatred and animosity between races just as Jeremiah Wright is doing. All of them can twist and turn verses in the Bible or

Koran to assure their listeners, these are God’s words.  

I would like to know how these Preachers end up with their million dollar homes in upscale, white neighborhoods, and million dollar pensions when the congregations are still treated as dumb, stupid and poor. When are the Blacks going to throw these idiots under the bus, as Obama has almost tried, and when are they going to learn that the Democrat Party is getting massive amounts of money from Black organizations with the intention of giving nothing but promises to the Blacks which learn and understand from the wrong side of the brain. When are the Blacks going to learn that the Republican Party empowers them and does not treat them as Slaves? Makes you wonder who the Racists are??

In my humble opinion, if educated Blacks make something of themselves in a white world such as, Condi Rice, Clarence Thomas, Colin Powell, and many others, that they become automatically white. The Rev. Wright even said he would come after Obama if he happened to become President. Blacks are supposed to be educated in Black schools and work as poor Blacks most of the time off the books.

There is a Black organization with in the congress of the United States called the Congressional Black Caucus, for what reason I don’t know, but from its name it must be a front for racial socialism. I don’t understand why this is allowed, this is not mentioned in our Constitution. The only reason I see is that they must meet to have somebody interpret what happened during the day’s congressional sessions, since they learn from a different part of the brain than the white Congress. Why are we, the taxpayers supporting it? The Black Caucus is just another way of Blacks trying to separate the Black voters from the whites because, in their minds, the Blacks are too stupid to think for themselves and they must be persuaded to vote Democrat so the Government will keep on giving.

The Caucus membership is officially non-partisan, but in practice it has been closely identified with the Democratic Party, and tends to function as a lobbying group within the wider Democratic Party. Only four black Republicans have been elected to Congress since the Caucus was founded: Senator Edward W. Brooke of Massachusetts, who had a long running affair with the famous Barbara Walters, Representative Gary Franks of Connecticut, Delegate Melvin H. Evans of the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Representative J. C. Watts of Oklahoma, who became the first black member of Congress elected not to join the group because of its closely Democratic affiliation and goals.

Representative Watts said of his refusal to join the caucus, "...they said that I had sold out and I am an Uncle Tom. And I said well, they deserve to have that view. But I have my thoughts. And I think they're race-hustling poverty pimps." White members of Congress have never been welcomed into the caucus.

I guess the Rev. Wright is right again, the Black churches along with their Preachers are promoting Black congregations to remain dumb, stupid and segregated. They now have their own holiday called Kwanzaa. History.Com explains Kwanzaa as a non-religious African American holiday which celebrates family, community and culture. It was created in 1966 after the Watts riots. Some people say Kwanzaa is just another movement by educated Blacks to control the non-educated and keep them dependent on government handouts.

There also was an attempt by Black educators to have their own official language “Ebonics” which isa portmanteau of "ebony" and "phonics", was originally intended and sometimes used for the language of all people of African ancestry, it was shot down, I believe in California, another attempt to keep the un-educated Blacks down on the farm.

Wright has retired but another Pastor, Otis Moss III, who was the assistant pastor under Wright, is taking over. Is this guy as bad as Wright? There are indications that he may be.

Ronald Kessler, of News Max, who has been on the trail of Obama and Wright, says this guy Moss, known as the "hip-hop pastor," while he has not expressed hatred of America and of whites, as Wright did, in a sermon on YouTube, Moss derides middle-class America for not accepting the “prophetic brilliance” of thugs, such as Tupac Shakur a “gangsta” rap star with a fairly violent criminal record before being fatally shot in 1996.  

Kessler, said referring to these thugs, Moss says sardonically, “There are times when our prejudice keeps us from hearing ghetto prophets, who preach a brand of thug theology which keeps us from hearing the truth from their lips because of their coarse language and ragged subject-verb agreement.”

Why does the working class scare the heck out of the elite socialist Democrats?

Because they have to keep telling them they will stop the job loss and factory closings when they know they have no solutions to do so.

The two Democrats are really pandering to the working class and the so-called poor. If they turn them loose they know they will lose the support of the Big Labor, which also includes the Teachers and Civil Service Unions. Obama tells them how bad off they are to hang in there, a government check is on the way.

Hillary tells them that Obama is an elitist and looks down on them by proclaiming them “bitter and depressed”. He opines they take up guns and religion to satisfy their “bitterness”. Hillary is also an elitist, and did not recognize the “culture code” which Obama was really using. What he was saying is that things are so bad in the small towns, that the men will take to streets and riot with guns and the woman will run to the churches to pray for them. On the streets the people were insulted with his simplification of “Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammunition” only when things are tight. They feel that they practice their faith as part of their every day life and have the right to use their guns when they want to for hunting, target shooting, and defending their families.

Obama tried to calm things down by saying “he MAY have use the wrong words when he said what he said in his “sorry speech” but it was too late. The boys and girls in the “Hood” already got the message.  Hillary said she came from a working class family and she understands their concerns. This sounded like Richard Nixon during his Presidential campaign when he said his wife Pat wore woolen coats not fir ones. She refuses to accept the, I’m sorry speech and calls Obama’s remarks “elitist and divisive”.

The facts are that most of these blue collar and working class poor are in States, where labor unions have strong representation among them. Many of the factories are located in small towns which become almost totally dependent on them providing work for that town. Labor Unions over the years have formed “Tribes” called “locals” and take their marching orders from the “National Head Honcho”. They demand outrageous benefit packages, pay leveling with out regard to merit or performance, no firing clauses, relocation, and modernization restrictions in their contracts. The unions have been demanding much higher wages for, and received them, low level non skilled workers than the non-union shops around the Nation. This caused high school graduates to seek employment right out of school. They were lulled into the union where the brotherhood will take care of them until retirement.

Johnstown Pennsylvania has about 15 labor unions representing just about everything and jobs have been cut in every sector. Johnstown is a typical city devastated by unions and the FreightCar America Company is a good example why. 

FreightCar America, Inc. recently announced that it will close its manufacturing facility located in Johnstown, Pa., which employs approximately 390 employees. This action is in line with FreightCar’s strategy of optimizing production at its low-cost manufacturing facilities and continuing its focus on cost control.  Is critical for them to take full advantage of their other lower-cost manufacturing facilities in order to produce their railcars with a competitive cost structure, said Chris Ragot, president and CEO. “Our Johnstown, Pennsylvania manufacturing plant is a higher-cost facility than our other locations. Although we entered into decisional bargaining with the union representing our Johnstown employees regarding labor costs at the Johnstown facility, we and the union did not reach an agreement that would have allowed us to continue to operate the facility in a cost-effective way. We will continue to focus on strategic initiatives and cost control to remain competitive despite a challenging railcar market.”  Although Ragot didn’t say the Johnstown facility was most likely the oldest one and was not making use of modernized or automated assembly methods, because of union restrictions.

The company announced in December that it has entered into a joint venture with Titagarh Wagons Ltd. of Kolkata, India to develop freight cars for the growing Indian market. The company intends to begin production there in 2009 using manufacturing methods honed (meaning automation) in the U.S.  I think you know what’s going to happen next. 

The Locals in the small towns have to take orders from the National Headquarters even when they knew the issue would hurt them locally. The National, pits the men and woman against the real employers by calling walkouts, strikes, and slow down across the broad spectrum of the union’s influence. While this may have helped the union shops in the larger urban areas, in the small town shops it had the opposite affect. For the most part because these small town shops are so called feeder shops, which make and supply parts and subassemblies, depending on the big assembly factories for their orders, can not afford to pay the massive overhead demanded by the unions, and since some had these no fire and layoff clauses in their contracts they had to shudder the factories, leaving the blue collar employees, with little or no higher education and un-skilled, with no alternatives.

The Democrat Party keeps pandering to these unions which use the workers hard earned money from their dues to lobby and give to the Democrat party in turn they get bills past, such as the workers must use show of hands when voting. It used to be secret balloting but they couldn’t tell who voted to strike or not to strike.

These, mostly unskilled jobs, are gone and no amount of retraining will get, the laid off workers, jobs in that area. In fact the majority of students graduating for the collages in Pennsylvania are seeking jobs elsewhere in the country. New Hi Tech companies would have to locate in the Johnstown area and the retrained worker would need a four year engineering technical degree in order to compete with the collage students. All these politicians are promising big money, for training, to the labor unions for these so called new jobs. It AIN’T going to happen. 

What they could do is to do away with corporate taxes which will cut cost for the companies who are still in the area and therefore stay there. Pennsylvania should declare their State a “right to work State” which would get the labor unions out of the way.

The low skilled jobs are not coming back unless the lack of a corporate tax, and right to work laws are passed, may bring back some low skilled ones from China.      

Hillary & Obama have got to be having “Brain Farts”.

Hillary announced while campaigning in Pennsylvania she is proposing billions of dollars a year to keep jobs from being shipped abroad. Get a load of this, Hillary proposes the elimination of tax breaks for companies that move jobs to other countries and use the savings to provide $7 billion a year in tax incentives to persuade companies to "in-source" (a new Democrat word) jobs in the United States, according to “StarTibune.com”. 

Pennsylvania has suffered the loss of manufacturing jobs in recent years and have yet to transition to new industries and other ways of expanding their economies.

This is what I call “rob Peter to pay Paul”. Clinton's plan would offer new tax benefits for research and job development. It would also create "innovation and research clusters" and provide $500 million annually in investments to encourage the creation of high-wage jobs in clean energy.

Obama seems confident that an increase in capital gains rates will do much to help an economy in crisis:

"What it will also do is first of all help out the federal Treasury, which is running a credit card up with the bank of China and other countries,” said Obama. "What it will also do, I think, is allow us to make investments in basic scientific research, in infrastructure, in broadband lines, in green energy and will allow us to give some relief to middle class and working class families who have been driving this economy as consumers but have been doing it through credit cards and home equity loans. They're not going to be able to do that.”

Hillary and Obama are having “Brain Farts”. Hillary is eliminating tax breaks from companies that move jobs offshore. What is the reason they are doing this? To avoid paying corporation taxes. So what do you think these companies will do to avoid paying the added taxes? They will establish their headquarters in countries that don’t have corporate taxes and then everybody in the company will either relocate or lose their jobs. She will have to appropriate the $500 million annually anyway because she is beholding to the big labor unions, but now guess who will pay the bill? The same people she said she would help.  As far as Pennsylvania is concerned, R & D jobs will not replace the ‘Nut & Bolt” jobs lost in that state.

 Her “in-sourcing” really means she will import H1-B Aliens, which are highly educated people from India and other low paying countries and of course they will not go back.        

Obama is raising the capital gains tax at least to 28% from 15% to provide relief to middle class and working class families. First of all, middle class and working class families are the same. Guess what they are the biggest individual holders and traders of stock and they will be hurt the most. What do you think these poor little individual stock holders will do? I know what I will do. I will sell off my stock holdings at the end of the year and get right into the bond market.  Don’t the working middle class own Real Estate? The devil is in the detail on this one.

The big guys will sell off at the end of the year and buy and hold stocks for long term investment and also get into bonds until after the new President gets installed. After a very big sell off and the bottom falls out of the market the individual and big guy bond holders will start buying stock for holding long term and wait four years for a Republican to get back in the White House.

Hillary and Obama are making you think the tax burden got lighter for the rich and heavier for the poor. But the Congressional Budget Office numbers show. The top 1 percent of earners went from paying 27.7 percent of the tax burden to 31.2 percent -- an increase of 12.6 percent. The bottom 20 percent, meanwhile, saw its share of the tax burden go from 9.1 percent to 4.3 percent.  It was actually cut in half, and then some: (This is being reported by Rebecca Haglin on townhall.com)

These two socialist’s, Hillary and Obama have proposed nothing that will make our life better. All of their “Brain Farted” proposals so far, the government will lose money and the working middle class will just be worse off.

Just about all the States that are in trouble, for loss of jobs and in money trouble, are States that are run by Democrats who are influenced by big labor unions. Indiana was run for 16 years by the Democrats and when the Republican Mitch Daniels took over he found the treasury empty. Daniels is up for reelection and the Democrat running against him wants to reinstate everything he has cut which still leaves the State in a multimillion dollar deficit. Most of the manufacturing in Indiana is labor union run.

On her latest campaign of lies tour, she citied she would prevent the off shoring of defense-related production, citing an Indiana company that once produced sophisticated magnets for the Pentagon's precision-guided missiles. The Magnequench factory (originally known as UGIMAG) was sold in August 2000(Bill Clinton was still President) to a consortium that included Chinese interests. In 2001, it was announced the plant would be shut down. In 2003, the company, Magnequench, shuttered its last Indiana factory and shifted operations to China. How many other plants did this company have and when were they shuttered? Here is some history about Magnequench and maybe you will get the real story:    

In 1995, Magnequench was purchased from GM by Sextant Group, an investment company headed by Archibald Cox, Jr., the son of the Watergate prosecutor. After the takeover, Cox was named CEO. What few knew at the time was that Sextant was largely a front for two Chinese companies, San Huan New Material and the China National Non-Ferrous Metals Import and Export Corporation. Both of these companies have close ties to the Chinese government. Indeed, the ties were so intimate that the heads of both companies were in-laws of the late Chinese premier Deng Xiaopeng. Who was the President and Governor in 1995?

Three years later Cox shut down the Anderson Indiana plant and shipped its assembly line to China. (Where was Hillary then?) Now Cox is presiding over the closure of Magnequench last factory in the US, the Valparaiso, Indiana plant that manufactures the magnets for the JDAM bomb. Most of the workers have already been fired. Who was President and U.S. Senator in 1998?

Archie Cox and his company are committing a criminal act," says Mike O'Brien, an organizer with the UAW in Indiana. "He's a traitor to his country." Did he say any thing when the Anderson plant was closed? NO because he would have had to blame the Clinton which he and his union supported.

It's clear that Cox and Sextant were acting as a front for some unsavory interests. For example, only months prior to the takeover of Magnequench, San Huan New Materials was cited by US International Trade Commission for patent infringement and business espionage. The company was fined $1.5 million. Foreign investment in American high-tech and defense companies is regulated by the Committee on Foreign Investments in the United States (CFIUS). It is unlikely that CFIUS would have approved San Huan's purchase of Magnequench had it not been for the cover provided by Cox and his Sextant Group. I guess Billy Bob was sitting on the oval office desk with Monica in the chair when all this was going down. Pardon the pun.

The answer to the questions above are, Billy Bob Clinton, Pres and Evan Bayh, Gov. in 1995 and in 1998 it was Billy Bob Clinton, Pres and Evan Bayh, U.S. Senator. The two were partners in crime, accepting money from the Labor Unions.

Hillary had another “Brain Fart” because she knows full well that this screw-up took place under her Husband’s watch and she is now trying to deflect the blame on to President Bush. The fact also is that the only source of the magnet material is now in China, it made sense to move the manufacturing closer to the source. The Magnequench decision could not be reversed by the Bush Administration because China already owned the company.

What about Hillary trying to duct the snipers bullets, another “Brain Fart”.

What about Obama’s troop pullout policy which was just putdown by a guy he hired to prove his strategy was good, another “Brain Fart”.     

Believe it or Not:

I believe we are experiencing something we never knew existed before.

It took a black candidate running for President of the United States of America to bring this out in the open. It is what I call “Radical Christianity” and they have a self ordained Prophet by the name of “Jeremiah”, and many followers.

If you listen the Prophet Jeremiah preach in his church about how Black Americans should hate America has he implies when he hollers ‘GOD damn America or HIV was invented by Whites to kill Blacks and that America deserves we got on 9/11 is really nothing more that “Radical Islam with their Prophet named “Muhammed” or in the United States maybe the Prophet’s name is “Farrakhan” and “Radical Clerics” preaching killing infidels and Americans in their Mosques.

What scares me is when the preachers who, defend this so called “Prophetic” activity, they say this sort of thing has been going on for many, many years.

We white people have heard the Black Preachers on TV preach to their congregations “there is no need to work, the Government will send you checks, because it owes you money from when your ancestors were slaves working for nothing. Don’t forget your beloved preacher when those checks come”.

Also during this campaign we learned that if a so-called mixed race person’s parent and their parents (grandparents) are white then he was born from “WHITE TRASK” which makes him TRASH.

I watched an interview on TV with a Black PHD Professor saying that this is the way black people express their love for Christ. Well I hope for the country’s sake that Christ is Black because, the certainty is, White people and I among them, assume a White Christ and are betting he doesn’t understand this behavior.

I think the Black population in our jails and seeing 4 and 5 generations of unwed Black Females on the streets of which all are under the age of forty with no Males, should be no surprise. It should also be no surprise that they are all waiting for Governments checks.

I see very little difference, if any, between the rants of Radical Christianity like the Prophet “Jeremiah” and Radical Islam with their Prophetic preaching. They are both very destructive.  

My BLOG post of January 26, 2008, just hours before the polls closed on the South Carolina Democrat primary, titled “The Clinton’s Strategy and Tactics” put forth the tactics that the “Clinton Machine” would use in defeating Obama.

Bill Clinton, knowing that Hillary had no chance of winning the South Carolina primary started to interject the Black vs. White tactic with some very harsh words essentially laying the ground work for defining Obama as the “Black” candidate for the “Blacks, where as Hillary is the candidate for all the people. His words implied that if Obama was the Democrat nominee he would pick off the “Black” vote and if he got elected he would pander to the needs of the “Black”.

Bill took to the road ahead of Hillary and put this theory to the test with the goal of not making Hillary look like “The Bad Gal”, and it has proven very successful thus far. Obama has gotten 90% of the “Black” vote across all the States primaries and caucuses.

But Hillary has not just Billy Bob working for her but at least three radical left Dot Com companies as well as Geraldine Ferraro. This is part of the strategy that I mention on the January 26, BLOG post. One of the steps when picking the target is to use any means possible, to reach your goal, including throwing your friends under the bus when they served your purpose. This is what they did with Ferraro and others in her campaign and many times during Bill’s Presidency. You know what they say it’s always easier to say you’re sorry when someone else did the dirty deed. Hillary, in private, told Billy Bob to cool it while saying in public that “Bill is Bill”.

There is no doubt in my mine, and many others, how sermons, preached by Obama’s Pastor, got on “U-TUBE” at just the right time or who put the picture of Obama on the Net in native dress. This is only the start, believe me, the “Clinton Machine” will soon destroy Obama not because he is Black, although that’s what they will use to do it, but because he is winning as of now.          

Are we going to get an “empty revolution?”

“An Empty Revolution:” That’s the title of the Essay by Francisco Rodriguez, in my favorite magazine: “Foreign Affairs”. The March / April issue.

As I was reading Francisco’s Essay it hit me like a ton of bricks. We may be getting something like this in the United Status.

The essay is about the unfulfilled promises of Venezuelan’s President Hugo Chavez. I started comparing the charismatic Chavez with the charismatic Senator Obama. I may be wrong but listen to the objectives Chavez and tell me their NOT the same as Obama’s.

Ranking as Chavez’s highest priority is providing welfare for the poor in the form of subsidizing food to low income families, the redistribution of land and wealth, taking money away from the oil companies, in his case nationalization, which he put towards health care, and education. Wait! Isn’t this Hillary’s plan as well, but she is far from being charismatic.

In 1999 Chavez presented his new government as a different approach and away from Washington’s free market approach. He sold his economic and social policies as a left wing alternative. That sounds like the Obama’s and Hillary’s to me.

According to Francisco Rodriguez, who was Chief of the Venezuelan National Assembly from 2002 to 2005, Chavez’s left wing approach started to unravel in 2002 and Rodriguez was appointed to straighten the mess out. The people of Venezuela saw that as well, A Coup was attempted and a 2-month- long national strike was held.

In a left wing socialistic Governments size increases as well as Government spending and becomes a major percentage of the nation’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP). In Venezuela’s case the government expenditure in 1999 was 18.8% of GDP and now accounts for 29.4% of GDP.

With the proposal’s of both Clinton and Obama’s new Government models, size of government will definitely increase and expenditures will be a much larger percentage of our GDP. Chavez used revenue form his nationalized oil industry to fund his plan. He raised the price per barrel. Obama and Clinton would have to tax both industry and individuals to fund their plans.

Chavez Nationalized industries especially oil. Obama and Clinton would not be able to do that but controlling profits, capping salaries and encouraging labor unions, which they are beholding to, will do the same thing. The North American Free Trade Agreement for instance, they would place U.S. labor restrictions in that agreement which would cripple trade among the three countries, United States, Mexico, and Canada.

So in my opinion, better hang on to your hat because if we elect Clinton or Obama the economic ride will be a fast and bumpy on down the side of mountain.

Houston We Have a Problem

We’ve all heard the saying “Houston we have a problem”, well it’s just not Houston. It is the whole United States of America. Unfortunately it’s not just “A” problem but a lot of problems all of which can be solved if it weren’t for people who think they know it all and have a venue to make it sound like they know what they are talking about. I’m talking about the Hollywood elite, Politicians, former Politicians, environmental-save the planet nuts, and our elected liberal officials. “Save the planet, by killing all the people on it”.

Let’s start with the energy problem. We have all these Do-Gooders (DGs) telling us what not to do as well as what to do. These people and organizations really have no horse in the race because they are, for the most part, millionaires.

These so called experts usually have but one agenda about one issue and never understand what far reaching effects their issue affects in the long term when it is mixed with the other so called agendas. You have what we can now call a trickle down effect, however with the supply side part of the equation gone.

Our Country is a full of expertise and we are deploying it all over the world, in other countries to solve their energy problems. By deploying this same expertise in this Country it could translate into millions of jobs here and diminish our reliance on foreign countries. We import 20% of our energy which depends on fossil fuel from other countries, some not so friendly. We not only import oil but also refined gasoline. Have you ever asked yourselves why, when we certainly have at our disposal, enough oil, natural gas, and coal within our jurisdictions, to fulfill all of the country’s requirements?

Back to the (DGs). Some of these people and organizations decided we could pollute the areas where we would drill and go to liberal Judges they know who support their premise. The consequence of doing just this alone has made us hostage of the oil cartels, (OPEC) who can cut back the oil supply anytime, raise the cost per barrel and cause the price of gasoline and home heating fuel to skyrocket. That’s is just for starters, they, the DGs, or somebody like them also decided, what the hell since we are not drilling for any more oil in the States, we shouldn’t have a need for any more refineries, because they may pollute the air. Again they got the Judges involved. We have one refinery being built which replaced one that was involved in “Katrina”, the only one in 30 years. DGs also decided, along with Harry Reid (D-NV), that coal should not be used because it is dirty even now when we have a clean way to burn it. This is what I mean trickle down effect with no supply if you knew how much of the country’s manufacturing of the goods we use and consume that are dependent on oil and gasoline you would be amazed. The answer is everything.

So instead of our government passing sensible laws that will stop these nuts from controlling our lives they decided to placate them by directing the auto makers to produce bio-fueled cars, or for the time being, Hybrids. The DGs say this is great and thousands of jobs will be created although labor unions say technology reduces jobs and fight and impede the progress. Here we go again, what produces the bio-fuel, corn and soy beans. What do cows, cattle, pigs and chickens eat? Corn. What do humans and other animals eat? Corn. Instead of just the gas and home heating fuel skyrocketing now the price of the food we consume skyrockets because we won’t be able to grow enough to meet the food and energy demand collectively. Now, the local environmental nuts don’t want the corn and soybean refineries near their homes, “not in my back yard syndrome”. If you look at just about every food label, a corn product is part of ingredient list. Bio-fuel is not the answer in this Country. We still would have to import refined bio-fuel gas and corn before we even get started. Still the environmentalist’s think it is the best thing since sliced bread. 

The millionaires don’t care. They can afford the higher prices. They are “doing the in thing” by supporting the Green Earth, Global Warming thing Ha, Ha. What they think are little raises in the consumer prices, the blue collar slob sees them as a collective crisis. A lot of these millionaires have their money invested in offshore accounts to get around our great tax system, now estimated at about 12 trillion dollars, with about 8 hundred million more being invested every year. I said before they don’t have a horse in this race.

Can our Country get out of this mess? I think it certainly can. Some President has to have the balls to proclaim that our current energy problem is one of our biggest national security problems and should be considered vital to our Country’s survival. Remember the great blackout of August 2003 that darkened the homes and workplaces of 50 million people in parts of the Midwest, Northeast and Canada. That was a technical glitch which was fixed.  Just think if OPEC shut off just 50% of our oil supply. That would give us about only 25% (example) of essential services, which can’t be fixed. Transportation would come to a halt brining and our nation to its knees. Millionaires would just make more money with their money in the energy sector. The supply would go down and the retail prices and oil company’s profits would skyrocket as long as the current reserves last. You can imagine what other things would happen.

We should make energy independence one of our highest National Security priorities and write new laws that would allow us:

To drill for oil offshore near Florida and anywhere else we can fine it.

Build new oil refining plants in each state.

Start producing vehicles that will get 50 MPG.

Build new power plants, coal, nuclear in each State.

Make money available to Technology companies, not oil companies, for fuel cell research for auto, business and home use.       

Another crisis is the way we solve our problems by the way we tax.

One of the big issues now being debated in the Democrat campaigns is the NAFTA. This was supposed to open the flood gates for trade and commerce across the borders of the U.S., Canada, and Mexico and in some cases it did. This is one of those solutions that our Government fostered that have what is termed, unintended consequences. What has happened, businesses, large and small, took advantage of the free trade agreement by replacing jobs here in the U.S., sending the work to Mexico and other place, in many cases moving their entire manufacturing production across the border. I had a customer, who had their headquarters on the border in Arizona with their manufacturing facility across the border, within walking distance, in Mexico. They actually had golf carts for the people to crisscross the border.

The labor unions have given so much money to the Democrat politicians over the past twelve years just to fight NAFTA it would boggle your mind. In my opinion they were one of the biggest contributors to what caused the ‘unintended consequences” but not the real reason. Yes, their demands force the business owners, in order to make a profit, hunt for cheaper labor and lower cost associated producing their products. The business owners were also looking to get out from under the corporate taxes imposed on them by the U.S. Federal and State Governments which is the real reason.

Much of the information I am about use comes from Neal Boortz and Congressman John Linder’s just published book “THE FAIR TAX: THE TRUTH”. This quote comes from that book. The question it answers is WHO PAYS TAXES? “ALL TAXES ULTIMATELY---THE CONSUMER PAYS THE TAXES. NOBODY ELSE PAYS THE TAXES. CORROPORATIONS DON’T PAY TAXES. THEY COLLECT THEM BUT THEY WON’T PAY THEM”. (Dr. Milton Friedman). Why won’t corporations pay their taxes? The answer is they pass them on, or embed into the retail or purchase price we pay as consumers.

Let me say this article is not intended to support “The Fair Tax” although I personally do. The books have a lot of information that saves me from looking everything up on the Net.

How much of a role do taxes really play in the cost of a product?  Let’s use the example used in “The Fair Tax: The Truth” book. 

You have just purchased a loft of bread. You paid some amount plus tax depending on where you live.

A mining company digs iron ore.

            Iron is used in the making not only the massive shovels that dig the ore but the giant trucks that take it to the smelter to separate the sludge from the iron ore. It is also used in the tractor that plants the wheat seed and harvest the wheat.

            The mining, smelter, road and rail, steel, foundry, truck, tractor, harvester, parts, wheat farm, bakery, distributors, and all other company’s involved in the supply chain  collect, pay and pass these corporate taxes on.

I think by now you are getting the drift of this. These costs are called “embedded taxes”. When you buy the bread and you pay a price which includes the embedded taxes, which is in the store’s wholesale costs, plus the store’s margin, then you get to pay the State and local area’s sales tax. What is embedded in the price you pay is all these taxes collected and paid by all the supplying companies and passed on to us consumers which amounts to about 24% of each item you buy.

This example illustrates the major reason why American companies shift their manufacturing, jobs goods, and services offshore. The only savings they can really control is their labor costs and when that’s not enough they offload goods to be assembled offshore and then finally all the manufacturing. In some cases the whole company goes. It has nothing to do with, as John Edwards has been saying, corporate greed. It has to do with GOVERNMENT GREED and CONTROL.

 NAFTA is not the problem TAXES are. A lot of companies in Europe and even Asia adopted the Reagan “supply chain model” have cut their corporate taxes as well as wealth and death taxes, some already twice. Take a look at the value of the Euro, now $1.50. If we eliminated all the corporate taxes the cost of doing business would go down 24%. And if we eliminated the income and payroll taxes, each person would have all of their earnings available to them. We could get rid of most of the IRS as well.

Remember that $12 trillion in those off shore accounts and the $8 hundred million coming in each year. With the tax burden lifted that money would come back onshore an invested, creating jobs, brining back the jobs we let go, and the workers would not be taxed more when they made more money. Foreign investment would skyrocket allowing us to eliminate the trade deficit. The world currencies would equalize with our dollar and so many other financial negatives would turn to pluses.

 How would the government get the money it needs to run the country? If the 24% of cost were no longer applied to the retail price then why not leave it in the equation. We would be paying the same amount for the things we buy. The Federal Government would still get their 24% which they would get when we bought or consumed the things want. The point of sale merchant would then send the 24% to the Federal Government and the consumer would not be affected.

This is in my opinion is the best advantage. Everybody who bought anything at anytime they wanted, including all tourists, drug dealers, illegal aliens, ETC. would be contributing the 24% to our government. These groups don’t pay any income or payroll taxes. Until the worst of these problems are solved we will at least get taxes from their purchases.

With the increased flow of money coming into the Federal Government we can have a true marked driven society and many of the other problems can be solved.

Healthcare would be market driven and people could purchase their own. The Federal Government could prebate a portion of their premiums. Social Security and Medicare would be opened to many more options from which the people could chose.    

I am no expert in any of the solutions, and for that matter the problems, but I do know that a market driven society, one which the people make their own decisions make more sense than the having the Federal Government be in our lives with a “one size fits all size solutions” and have people sitting around waiting for their Government checks.        

The Democrats not only support killing during the entire birthing cycle but now have come up with a way to kill children and adults as well.

We now know the facts about why Nancy Pelosi and the Democrat majority have stalled the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) and it’s not because the President is misrepresenting the facts. Speaker Pelosi is the one doing the misrepresenting. She released a statement after the President slammed the Democrats for not passing the FISA.

            "The President knows the facts; if he did not want the Protect America Act to expire this weekend, he should have supported an extension of it, as the overwhelming majority of House Democrats did on Wednesday.  Having guaranteed the lapse of the August law, the President should now work in a cooperative way with Congress to pass a strong FISA modernization bill that protects our nation’s security and the Constitution."

Speaker Pelosi forget to mention that the Senate passed Bill S-2248 which the President said he would sign. But Pelosi’s House Democrats did not like the provision which “Provides limitations (and preempts state law) on civil actions against electronic communication service providers and persons providing assistance in connection with an intelligence activity.”Pelosi refuse to bring this bill to the floor which was passed overwhelmingly by the Senate. This is typical of Democrats and guys like Rep. Dennis Kucinich who wanted the provision stripped from the bill figured the President, in haste, would sign it essentially calling the President’s bluff. Pelosi and her cronies say the there are still provisions in place for another 6 months. They, again don’t say that we are only allowed to monitor existing targets and not any new ones. Now, that the terrorist understand this limitation we will be clearly open for attack. 

More importantly, Amanda Carpenter the National Political Reporter for Townhall.com, did some research and came up with the real reason. “Wednesday, the Senate held a critical vote on an amendment to the FISA reauthorization that would grant this immunity. It passed, but 29 Democratic senators voted against it. 24 of them have accepted campaign contributions from trial lawyers who are suing the government over those activities. Records show that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D.-Ca.), also accepted $3,750 in donations to her campaigns and PACs from these lawyers from as well. (1996-2001)”. This is all about money and votes.

I wrote a letter to the Speaker on 03/12/2007 which stated the following:

            “Madam Speaker you are trying to manage a war which you have not understood or have defined. Why! Because the only thing you have on your mind, is using every means possible to bring down the President of the United States and to get a totally inept Democrat Party reelected. Your Party has been misrepresenting this and other issues to the American people by using the principles of Machiavelli and believe me you don’t even understand them. You have misinterpreted polling data of Americans thinking the war in Iraq was a mistake as a mandate in prosecuting an existing war, which are mutually exclusive. What the people think about the start of the Iraq action does not mean that we should tell the enemy how we intend to loose it. Your biggest mistake is that you have made is the understanding that the war on terror does not include the Iraq action”.

“Madam Speaker you are not the one to hold a leadership position in this Congress and you should step down before you screw up totally and we have another 9/11”.

I think FISA could be the issue, especially since you and your cronies consider this tool as “fear- mongering”, that could cause another 9/11 if it is not fixed very soon. Do your job or step down.
