I ended the first part of Angels and Demons with the following two Paragraphs:

President Obama must soon find his way and take ownership of these problems. He might think HC is what propelled him into office but it wasn’t. He pitched Change, Change. Change, he knew what the problems were but he just wanted to take advantage of the crisis and get his dream of a Government Health Care single payer system voted in.

When Obama is home from vacation he is going to schedule a joint meeting of Congress sometime Labor Day week. Let’s see if he has learned anything while he was away.      

We now know he didn’t learn anything. He also reverted to the Urban, Southside Chicago slang meanings of “tea baggers” one of them being “one who has a job or talent that is of low social status”.  Another one is “a conservative republican who protests against income taxes by rubbing their nutsacks in each other's faces”. Also in Urban slang “Teabaggers” is spelled as one word and has many other meanings, which he must be very familiar with, just Google it to find out where our President has come from.

So now that he has blown just about every rule of The Pragmatic Primer for Realistic Radicals by attacking the very people he represents, he has to create other targets to blame for his disastrous slippage in the job performance polls. Of course it is never him, is it.

This is what I call “The Obama Initiative” because all initiatives must include a set of attack, Tactics. He is now going back to Saul Alinsky’s book for help. I also believe he will fail is this endeavor as well, because his targets are still the ones who have better approval ratings then He and the Congress. His enemies list included the following targets:

            The CIA

            The Bush Administration

            The FOX News Network

Conservative Talk Radio

The Chamber of Commerce

Alinsky always puts labels on groups of people, hence Angles and Demons, to make it easy for the Community Organizers (CO) to comprehend, but nothing in the CO handbook has anything to do with the same name for both groups. Obama now has to consider these new groups as the “Haves, not the Have-NOTS, in order to apply the Alinsky Tactics. So we should find this very interesting to see how his will plan will play out since he now is the leader of the “HAVES” and will be applying his tactics on what Alinsky considers the “Haves”.

What is it that these organizations have, in common, that makes Obama think they are bad enough to attack them publicly. The most talked about and in just about every speech is the Bush Administration. Obama has never taken ownership of any aspect of the current government without blaming the previous one. What he has taken ownership of is a Government Controlled Healthcare and the Government controlled energy policy called Cap and Trade, but uses the last eight years as an example of being disastrous when it came to solutions.

The Bush Administration racked up a $1.2Trillion deficit and 5% unemployment by the time they left office. Most of the deficit was brought about by the meltdown of AIG which led to a $700Billon spending bill “TARP” for bailing them and other Wall Street investment banking firms out. $80 Billion of that money was unconstitutionally use for keeping the auto industry from going bankrupt, which they did any way. Approximately only about $300Billion of the TARP money has been spent.

Obama, in his own mind, has made this the Bush legacy, which he can fall back on when his policies do not produce his desired results. He also can use it for an excuse for more spending, which now he has produced a $14Trillion deficit. He can blame Bush for having to turn the Nation’s governmental structure into a Socialistic Government.

The National Chamber of Commerce (NCC) represents businesses that require a free enterprise system and what we call the capitalistic way of producing goods and services the people want thereby letting them create the demand and set price competition, high demand higher prices, low demand, lower prices.  Not what the Obama administration is in favor of.

Obama did not invite the NCC to his White House job summit simply because their view of the way he is solving the job’s problem is not the same has his. The largest small business federation was also not invited.

We already have injected Socialisms into are free enterprise system. Labor Unions are one of the biggest Socialistic intervention causing providers of goods and services from taking advantage cost cutting methods and new technologies to remain competitive.

The best example is in the automotive manufacturing sector. Over the year’s American auto prices have gone up and quality has gone down. Hence the higher ratings of the foreign automotive makers in quality, reliability, features, as well as their speed in bringing new and more efficient autos to the market place at much lower costs. Obama’s Cash for Clunkers program proved this with over 65% of the cars being purchased were foreign cars.

American Labor Unions have supported the Democrat party with billions of dollars so that they would have control over the party. They have succeeded with the labor unions and professional associations now being Obama’s major focus. They fit his new Para-dyne of a Socialistic Government and equal pay for all regardless of value to the enterprise.

One of Obama’s and the Democrat Congress biggest mistakes was to include the CIA as a target. This ties in with the Bush Administration being on the list. AG Eric Holder convinced the President that everybody associated with the enhanced interrogations under Bush should be investigated and then be charged when completed. Part of the plan was to appoint the totally unqualified Director of Home Land Security so that Holder would have an easy time doing this. He did exactly that with Janet Napolitano.

Nancy Pelosi also implied she lacked confidence, in the CIA, when she said she was not briefed “fully” on enhanced interrogation methods.  From this moment on the effectiveness and the morale of the Agency started to fall. Leon Panetta, CIA Director, tried his best to take control of this problem but as we see now things have been falling apart the last eight months.

On Christmas Day there was an attempt to blow up an airplane going to Detroit, which was foiled by a passenger. All hell has broken loose in Washington and just about everybody wants Napolitano fired. Obama gave a speech his usual way for showing leadership, buy telling the Security Council that he will not stand for this and he wants it straighten out. It was an OR ELSE speech and in my opinion the wrong way to approach fixing this major problem. His major problem is himself thinking he can just make a speech and everybody and everything will just be great.     

According to the Washington Post the Obama Administration wants Errol Southers, a former FBI agent, for TSA Director. He has described inconsistencies in his accounts to Congress as "inadvertent" and the result of poor memory of an incident that dates back 20 years. He said in a Nov. 20 letter to key senators obtained by The Post that he had accepted full responsibility long ago for a "grave error in judgment" in accessing confidential criminal records about his then-estranged wife's new boyfriend. Sounds like the typical Obama Type.

Obama has a tendency to commit suicide when he names targets to attack and a good example of that is when he named Conservative talk radio. When he did this talk radio listeners came together with Conservative television and many other associations all over the country and promoted the formation of the Tea Bag parties, participation in Town Hall meetings, and the 9-12 Express movements.

Obama and his cohorts in the Democrat party started calling them Nazis and other demeaning names. Wrong again. All this did was to wake up a sleeping Tiger, now many different organizations banned together with individuals across the Country, and put on some of the largest Demonstrations Washington had ever seen.

Obama’s vendetta against Fox News was his biggest mistake. He tried to isolate FOX from the interviewing process, thinking the Mainstream press would back him up. Wrong big time, instead they turned on him and refused to do any interviews with him or any one in his admistration unless FOX would get interview time as well. This was one of Obama’s biggest embarrassments.

The bottom line is and what should be a lesson for the President is that when you pit HAVES against HAVES instead of the HAVE-NOTS the Alinsky method goes out the window. What ties all of these targets together is the fact is that President Obama is the President of “unintended consequences”.  He has no idea what his decisions will cause in the future. He thinks this is all Bush’s fault, his back up plan  

This battle is not over and Fox has one of the best investigative staff in the business. It will someday unload on the President. It takes a real leader to navigate the opposition and he certainly is not one.

Alinsky says in his book Rules for Radicals “that the basic tactic in warfare against the HAVES is a mass political jujitsu: The HAVE-NOTS do not rigidly oppose the HAVES, but yield in such planned and skilled ways that the superior strength of the HAVES becomes their own undoing”. What this quote is saying that the HAVE-NOTS must use the HAVE’S own strength against them”.

One thing the media and the Republicans are using against him is statements during the campaign of having all negotiations on CSPAN. All the Healthcare negotiations are being held secretly without any minority party participation. Alinsky says “use what the HAVES say and what they believe against them. “OUCH”

You can see the Alinsky method will only work with the weak against the strong. Obama has failed for three reasons, because he rigidly opposed and hates his targets and he used the HAVES, the Government, against other HAVES, which were groups of media, business associations, and common hard working citizens. The third reason is that he, Obama, is shadow boxing the Bush Administration which does not exist and does not have a dog in this fight anymore.   

My Wife and I were watching the President’s speech on 12/02/2009 and when he finished we both said, almost at the same time is this guy stupid or did we miss something.

I wouldn’t want the President to be my coach of the football team I was playing on because what he did was to give the Taliban and the al Qaeda our play book which we are going to use against them. There are many things wrong with this approach, which by the way was use before in Vietnam. The main purpose of  his so called surge is to train the Afghan’s national and local security forces so he can get the US forces out of there starting in 1011. Not once did he say that he wanted to WIN.

If I were one of the Taliban leaders, since Obama set a withdrawal date, I would pull back on any offensive actions and just wait for the US and Afghan forces to find us. Then I would put up enough of a fight to make it look like a real fight I would have some of the foreign insurgents try to overrun some US camps and be killed giving the impression of a US victory. In the mean time, over the eighteen months, I would build up our strength.

Obama said they would try to flip some of the Taliban fighters and have them join the Afghan forces. Believe me when I say the Taliban would readily take them up on that offer, there are most likely more Taliban in there than he wants, and who are understanding the Afghan forces strengths and weaknesses waiting for the right time to strike.

After the US forces leave the country, thinking they have won, the Taliban in-beds will turn on the Afghan forces and at the same time Taliban fighters will hit the Afghan Capital with everything they have.

Obama lays a lot of his success on the fact that Pakistani forces are going to employ a surge of their own against the Taliban and al Qaeda regrouping and training centers in Pakistan. So what is plan “B” if there is a radical coup, take over of the Pakistani Government? This is certainly very probable, since much of the Pakistani population sympathies and backs the Taliban with money and manpower. Obama’s short history shows that he does not consider the unintended consequences of his actions.

There are many, many things that could happen, which any commonsense person could conger up. The question here is there any commonsense in the Obama Admistration or are they just working and planning based on the political consequences?

Winning a war is based on true leadership and in our country the President must be willing to win if he decides to fight. Obama is not. He is worried about the cost, but will he pull the plug on Obama-care, or Cap & Trade. Will he relieve the taxes on business of all sizes and individuals of all pay grades and let the economy take hold creating jobs, which will provide the much needed funds?? We shall see. I hope this will not be the Obama Vietnam and that our troops will not get caught up in it. “God Bless Them.”          

At a time when our Country’s Taxpayers are facing a record $59.1 trillion in “unfunded liabilities” a 2.3% increase from 2006 and about a $4 trillion deficit, and unemployment is now 10.2%, is it the proper time to introduce a Cap and Trade policy, which will cause higher taxes, loss of jobs and consumer costs rising considerably?

It appears that our lets play nice S.C. Senator Lindsey Graham thinks it’s just the right time. His last letter to me on September 9, 2009 on this subject Senator Graham stated that “we have the opportunity to address climate change in a manner that benefits both the environment and the economy. I believe that the best solution to climate change is placing caps on emissions”.

Assuming man is the real cause of climate change, which I do not, why don’t we implement the “Nuclear Energy” option, which the Senator seems to support, now? That will drive down the carbon emissions and over time replace coal and other fossil fuels before capping and taxing. This can be done without major legislation.  

Senator Graham, in my book, is always backing liberal, big government, causes for the sake of making nice with the Democrats. He has been on the losing side on just about all them, Thank God. When his voters disagree with him he calls them names, such as “BIGOTS, or ANGRY WHITE MEN”.

He jumped on the Mc Cain/ Kennedy Immigration Reform bandwagon, which came close to allowing 13 million Illegal Aliens amnesty, stopped by the overwhelming response of the voters.   He voted for the TARP redirection of funds to automakers which led to the Government buying into two of them, now into the compromise Obama Health Care Bill which he may or not vote for. He appears to be “all in” on Cap and Trade.  In all cases these bills where or are opposed not only by his State’s voters but also the Country’s.

I would like him to explain to the South Carolina voters his reasoning. Senator Graham was reelected to a second term only because he was not opposed by any serious alternative candidates and if he can’t read and listen to his voters lets hope this will be his last.

I hate taxes on anything, as most of us do, but living in South Carolina what I can’t stand is watching young men and women who are grossly obese drinking 20oz bottles soda. I can’t believe, even though I see it with my eyes, men and women filling up their one gallon drink cup with regular soda then picking up a few packaged Danish cakes, did you ever read in caloric content and ingredient listing in those things. These people, in my opinion, seem to also gouge themselves with fast fattening foods and frankly their parents, or adults sitting with them, are doing the same thing. I have seen people with butts and thighs that hang over both sides of the chair and also some that filled a whole booth bench. I see, every day, kids under the age of ten who can barely walk. One thing that really gets to me is a well built and fit Mother pulling along her obese Daughter. To me, it seems she wants to make sure that her Daughter will never be as good looking as she. Kids go through hell in school when they are obese and if the parents don’t care we have to do something.

I know we have the right to eat and drink as much as we want and I don’t want to impinge on that right so that’s why I think this is a well thought out way of bring the manufacturing of soda and other sugar loaded drinks under control. Yes the consumers will see an added cost at the point of sale (POS) but they would still have to make the final decision. “To Buy, or Not to Buy, that is the question.”

An Effective Tax Policy and Projected Effects

Key factors to consider in developing an effective policy includethe definition of taxable beverages, the type of tax (salestax or excise tax), and the tax rate. We propose an excise taxof 1 cent per ounce for beverages that have any added caloricsweetener. An alternative would be to tax beverages that exceeda threshold of grams of added caloric sweetener or of kilocaloriesper ounce. If this approach were used, we would recommend thatthe threshold be set at 1 g of sugar per ounce (30 ml) (32 kcalper 8 oz [237 ml]). Another option would be a tax assessed pergram of added sugar, but such an approach would be difficultto administer. The advantage of taxing beverages that have anyadded sugar is that this kind of tax is simpler to administerand it may promote the consumption of no-calorie beverages,most notably water; however, a threshold approach would alsopromote calorie reductions and would encourage manufacturersto reformulate products. A consumer who drinks a conventionalsoft drink (20 oz [591 ml]) every day and switches to a beveragebelow this threshold would consume approximately 174 fewer calorieseach day.

A specific excise tax (a tax levied on units such as volumeor weight) per ounce or per gram of added sugar would be preferableto a sales tax or an ad valorem excise tax (a tax levied asa percentage of price) and would provide an incentive to reducethe amount of sugar per ounce of a sugar-sweetened beverage.Sales taxes added as a percentage of retail cost would havethree disadvantages: they could simply encourage the purchaseof lower-priced brands (thus resulting in no calorie reduction)or of large containers that cost less per ounce; consumers wouldbecome aware of the added tax only after making the decisionto purchase the beverage; and the syrups that are used in fountaindrinks, which are often served with multiple refills, wouldremain untaxed. A number of states currently exempt sugar-sweetenedbeverages from sales taxes along with food, presumably becausefood is a necessity. This practice should be eliminated, whetheror not an excise tax is enacted.

Excise taxes could be levied on producers and wholesalers, andthe cost would almost certainly be passed along to retailers,who would then incorporate it into the retail price; thus, consumerswould become aware of the cost at the point of making a purchasedecision. Taxes levied on producers and wholesalers would bemuch easier to collect and enforce than taxes levied on retailersbecause of the smaller number of businesses that would haveto comply with the tax; in addition, the sugar used in syrupscould be taxed — a major advantage because of the heavysales of fountain drinks. Experience with tobacco and alcoholtaxes suggests that specific excise taxes have a greater effecton consumption than do ad valorem excise taxes and can alsogenerate more stable revenues because they are less dependenton industry pricing strategies.³² In addition, tax laws shouldbe written with provisions for the regular adjustment of specificexcise taxes to keep pace with inflation, in order to preventthe effect of the taxes on both prices and revenues from erodingover time.

A tax of 1 cent per ounce of beverage would increase the costof a 20-oz soft drink by 15 to 20%. The effect on consumptioncan be estimated through research on price elasticity (i.e.,consumption shifts produced by price). The price elasticityfor all soft drinks is in the range of –0.8 to 1.0.³³(Elasticity of –0.8 suggests that for every 10% increasein price, there would be a decrease in consumption of 8%, whereaselasticity of 1.0 suggests that for every 10% increase in price,there would be a decrease in consumption of 10%.) Even greaterprice effects are expected from taxing only sugar-sweetenedbeverages, since some consumers will switch to diet beverages.With the use of a conservative estimate that consumers wouldsubstitute calories in other forms for 25% of the reduced calorieconsumption, an excise tax of 1 cent per ounce would lead toa minimum reduction of 10% in calorie consumption from sweetenedbeverages, or 20 kcal per person per day, a reduction that issufficient for weight loss and reduction in risk (unpublisheddata). The benefit would be larger among consumers who consumehigher volumes, since these consumers are more likely to beoverweight and appear to be more responsive to prices.⁷ Highertaxes would have greater benefits.

A controversial issue is whether to tax beverages that are sweetenedwith noncaloric sweeteners. No adverse health effects of noncaloricsweeteners have been consistently demonstrated, but there areconcerns that diet beverages may increase calorie consumptionby justifying consumption of other caloric foods or by promotinga preference for sweet tastes.³⁴ At present, we do not proposetaxing beverages with noncaloric sweeteners, but we recommendclose tracking of studies to determine whether taxing mightbe justified in the future.

RE: Please REJECT Socialized Health Care!

Dear [Sen./Rep.] [LAST NAME]:

This is a letter I thought I would never write. I know you know what I am about to say but it appears some of you have forgotten. You keep adding more and more junk entitlements to the political menu. We have ragging debt which is causing us to pay an interest payment of around the amount of $9m a month. We have people out of work. The housing market is in the tank. The stock market is falling. (This upturn is a reaction to Obama’s falling approval numbers). All other major sectors are falling as well.

So what does Congress do but introduce new TRILLION DOLLAR programs (Government take over of health, A Cap and Tax energy bill, Bail-outs and the take-over of other sectors),  and all this with no money in the bank. This is like adding fuel to an already out of control fire. So now what does the administration say their going to do? They want to RAISE TAXES ON THE MIDDLE INCOME EARNERS, because, there are not enough rich people to tax. Oh wait a minute aren’t they, the middle income earners, the ones out of work??         

Without jobs no one can pay taxes. We have around 10% of Americans out of work. That equates close to 22% less revenue for the government coffers. In terms of dollars the Government as lost $330 Billion in revenue in the first six months of this year.  

You don’t have to be a tax evader to figure this out. Lets just stop all of this BS and concentrate on the one problem that has to be solved first. THAT AIN’T HEALTH CARE.

I'm writing to ask you to please REJECT H.R. 3200, "America's Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009," or any other attempt to force socialized health care or government-mandated health insurance on Americans.

Our current health care system is not broken, it is just too expensive. About 95% of Americans have health plans available to them and around 85% like what they have. A lot of that cost has to do with government mandates of which there are 6,000 of them across the country. Malpractice insurance for doctors one other reason for the high costs as well. 

The technology boom, not physician care have completely changed the playing field in regards to medical care. If we didn't have all the technology that is at our fingertips for the care of so many exhaustively expensive medical conditions we wouldn't be having this discussion today.

There are a variety of procedures that cost upwards of $100,000, and extended care conditions that run upwards of $1,000,000. Organ transplant surgery, in vitro fertilization, high tech care of extremely premature infants, multiple modality cancer treatments, whole body and organ scanning, cardiac procedures, endoscope procedures, have all exploded in terms of their use in our country. This would never have occurred if they were not all subsidized with health insurance monies. All this could be lost if the government got control of the insurance plans. 

 At least in my opinion leave the current health care plans as is until the real problem is solved. Just in case you forgot, nothing will get fixed or work if people don’t have JOBS. Money must be generated FROM JOBS. Government revenue is generated from taxes on people who HAVE JOBS. JOBS that produce products and services, from the private sector not Government jobs that consume taxes. JOBS must be created first, fast, and foremost.

As I watched TV last week I saw something that I did not believe. I saw the President of the US go into a complete meltdown. I think the President’s hidden agenda, by that I mean hidden from all the people who voted for him, reared its ugly head.

I think the Clintons had it right, during the primary campaign, when they pushed the notion that Obama would be a black President for black people and all others were non-players. Obama pushed the race card frequently, and only started to back off when his beloved Pastor Reverend Wright’s sermons came to the fore front and temporarily derailed his campaign. He must have been sleeping for the 20years he attended Wright’s Church, because he claimed he never heard them. Check out my BLOG Post “The Clinton’s Strategy and Tactics”

President Obama is half black and half white. What better reason could one have to bring the two races together? Obama instead, in his younger life while he was smoking whatever, decided that he was going to be Black so he could obtain better governmental perks. He has no slave blood flowing in is veins so why else would he push the Radical Black Theology instead of trying to promote Black and White togetherness and put an end to the racial hate divide the Black population have been preached to for a hundred years? We all knew of his associations with a lot of shady people. We knew he was a study of the radical Saul Alinsky, as was his Secretary Of State Hillary Clinton. We also knew of his wife Michelle’s Princeton Thesis on the separation of the races. My Blog Post “Is This the Real Michelle Obama”.  President Obama’s Thesis has a lock in it so we really don’t know what his thoughts were “back in the day” but I don’t think we would be at all surprised.

So what happened last week that made me reflect on the past? Well four things:

First, The President nominated a racial empathically candidate for the Supreme Court, Sonia Sotomayor. She has been, when she was on the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, turned over by the U.S. Supreme Court many times. She may be qualified but her past clearly puts her on the side of people of color.

Second, the latest case was the reversal of the New Haven Firefighters because of a test for promotion eligibility, which none of the Black Firefighters passed. Consequently the test was thrown out by city because they were afraid of having a NAACP law suite filed.

In its last session until September, the Supreme Court's conservative majority prevailed in a 5-4 ruling that faulted the city of New Haven and the lower courts that had upheld the city's discarding of results of an exam in which no African-Americans scored high enough to be promoted to lieutenant or captain. Obama did not agree with the Court’s decision and thought the lower court should have been upheld, in favor of the city.  He said the court took a different turn.  Does this mean that the test was two hard for the Black Firefighters? “Just what we need taking the dumbest to lead men into a fire storm”.  Do you think?

Third, the President jump in on the case in Cambridge Police being called by 911 to investigate a break in at what turned out to be a house of a friend of the President. I might add that this house was being rented and Henry Louis Gates Jr. was trying to jimmy the door. Again the President played the race card by saying: "Now, I don't know, not having been there and not seeing all the facts, what role race played in that. But I think it's fair to say, number one, any of us would be pretty angry; number two, that the Cambridge police acted stupidly in arresting somebody when there was already proof that they were in their own home; and, number three, what I think we know separate and apart from this incident is that there's a long history in this country of African-Americans and Latinos being stopped by law enforcement disproportionately. That's just a fact," Obama said.  He also should have said, it could be the fact that 70% of the crime in this country is being committed by people of color.

Fourth, remember the picture of the Black Panthers standing in front of a polling place with night-sticks in hand? Well a civil action has been in the works since November for the intimidation of the white voter’s trying to enter to vote. That action was dismissed, by the Justice Department just today, 07/29/2009, without explanation. “Back On Black”

I said before, I don’t remember where or even when, our new President is not the caliber of person we need as President. He is not a leader, he has never ran a business, or even collected a paycheck very long, his experience and view of the economy is not even at a 101 level, his foreign policy is out to lunch, he does not love this country which comes out in all his speeches overseas, despises our troops and the police, and he has never taken ownership of the major problems. He is still running a campaign against President Bush. Every time he opens his mouth he knocks the heck out of big business and the rich by telling them he will tax more and more, and cap their wages, which they did today 08/01/2009, and he seems to want to maintain the separation of the races. He always puts the Black population first, even if it doesn’t make any sense.

WE MUST VOTE THESE RACIAL, RADICAL SOCIALESTS OUT OF OFFICE, COME THE MIDTERM ELECTIONS, AND STOP THIS ASSUALT ON OUR COUNRY.    

A comprehensive health care reform bill may be a long ways off because there is simply no money for it. However with this Congress, Health Care is not a matter of getting it right it’s a matter of getting it passed before dear old Teddy (Senator Ted Kennedy) dies. The Senate doesn’t really care about the “people” and what they will have to put up with this bill as long as dear old Teddy has a legacy to take with him to where ever he is going.  I have my own thoughts on that.

Our V.P. Biden recently said that he and the Health Care Providers reach a deal that will pay for it by saving $168 billion over a ten year period. That may be a start but if you remember Congressional Budget Office (CBO) came up with a price tag of $1.7 Trillion over the same ten year period. The CBO also said that the plan submitted by dear old Teddy only produced a “Net Zero” plan, meaning that it only covered the same amount of people that are covered on the various other Government plans, namely Medicaid and SCHIP. So I think the floundering Vice President has a way to go. 

I recently received copy of the Aug. issue of the AARP Magazine, which I get for what reason I don’t know.

The AARP Health Report, this month, was tiled “8 Myths about Health Care Reform”. Naturally AARP has no idea what plan the Democrats will come up with, but to them it makes little or no difference, so in my opinion the whole thing is a smoke and mirror Myth.

Let’s start with the introduction prior going to the 8 Myths. The article starts with the Democrat talking point we’ve heard since the start on the Obama campaign that we Americans spend more on health care then we spend on such things as education, building roads, and even feeding ourselves. They cite we will spend an estimated $2.6 trillion health care dollars in 2009 or $8,300 dollars per person. Then comes the coup de grace that is suppose to scare us into signing on the bottom line on any stupid Government Run Health Plan:

There are supposedly 45million Amigos without any form of health care. These staggering figures are the heart of the current debate. First of all, that number is BOGUS. According to the Census Bureau 9.7 million of the uninsured are not citizens of the United States, but does that matter to the Democrats, it does to Teddy, because they are “in the shadows and should be covered.” What happen to the other 1.3 Million? The Democrats have been using a figure of 11 million “in the Shadows”. At any rate the 9.7 million will get care if the have to visit an U.S. Emergency Room.

14 million more of the Amigos are eligible for Government programs such as Medicaid or SCHIP. These Amigos would be automatically signed up for these programs if they visited an Emergency Room.

What about the ones who can afford Health Insurance, but make enough money they have decided to go it alone. This segment amounts to roughly 26.7 million.

Since the above total adds up to 49.1 million people either don’t want Health Care insurance, or who are not eligible because they are Teddy’s “in the shadows Amigos” and the ones who are eligible but can get it free buy going to the Emergency Room the Obama reasoning is truly BOGUS.

The last paragraph in the introduction which was put out by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation which, I guess funds the Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC), says “There is enough evidence that it is now time to do something and do the right thing.” The key is to focus on the fact and dispel, once and for all, the myths that block our progress.

I say the emphasis should be doing it RIGHT but if you are looking for justification, first get all the facts right.

The Bipartisan Policy Center leaders Howard Baker Tom Dashle and Bob Dole have talked to hundreds of people associated with the health care sector came out with this brilliant statement. These are the guys who set the ground work for what was being worked on in the Senate.  

 Promoting a Bipartisan Process:

The Leaders believe strongly in the importance of finding a real, bipartisan solution to thenation’s health care crisis right now. This requires members of both parties to engage in acollaborative, constructive debate with the goalof achieving true compromise. The Leadersencourage truly bipartisan efforts in Congress, and support inclusiveness and transparencyacross all stages of the process – from policydevelopment to final passage. Addressing anissue as complex and personal as health reformthrough the budget reconciliation process mayimpede the ability of lawmakers to passlegislation that is durable, lasting, and meaningful to all Americans. In similar regard, because timing is so critical, bipartisan legislation should be considered without extended floor debate.

You and I both know, because anything Teddy has to do with will be so large, there won’t be any bipartisan debate just like the Cap and Tax bill, and nobody will read it before the vote. Is that fast enough for these three “has-beens”? If you are like me, we go through the task, every year of selecting the best insurance plan for our families regardless of who the providers are. SO WHY SHOULDN’T WE HAVE THE SAME RIGHT WITH “THE PLAN” THE GOVERNMENT IS FORCING ON US? The key word is PLAN, meaning the one and only.

My opinion is that after the bill is finalized but before being voted on, there should be a 30 day cooling off period so that our congressmen and the public can read and digest it. Comments, opinions, and questions should also be made known to our legislators for their debate prior to voting. 

I like the saying “back in the day” because it can mean anytime. It’s a perfect statement for the older people like me. Between you and I we have always thought that those of us who worked for non Government employers and were getting health care, that the Government was not meddling around with it.

Well back in the day the IRS said, to the effect, that if an employer provided health care for their employees they, the workers, would not have to pay taxes on the benefits. This became a recruitment benefit to draw in the best employees as well as a UNION perk. The companies also were in competition with one another that company provided health care became a major factor for prospective employees, including me, so much so that now over 60% of all the people covered are covered under employer plans. This is what McCain was talking about during his campaign and Obama spent 17% of the total cost of his campaign besmirching McCain for saying he would tax benefits provided by the employers.  

The majority of the small business owners were left to purchase their own Health Care insurance and their employees, if they could afford it and get taxed for using the benefits. 

Now we don’t know what the health plan is that just past in the Senate Committee today (07/15/2009), and I bet you the most of the Democrats and none of the Republicans read it because they weren’t allowed to see the bill until the 15^th . I can almost guarantee it will make these small business owners provide benefits for their employees, except for union shops, have to pay for part of the cost of the Government plan. I will, again almost guarantee that with this “Plan” one of the ways it is going to be paid for is by taxing the employer provided Health Care benefits used by their employees. Today there is about 6% of the population who pays for their own insurance who don’t get the tax advantages of the employer provided ones. We all should.

AARP Myth #1: Health reform won’t benefit people who have insurance today.

The premise here is that you may have it know but maybe not tomorrow and states that nearly 266,000 companies dropped their employee Health Care coverage from 2000 to 2005, not mentioned is why:

Why did, employer provided, health care get so costly? The big reason employer provided plans have risen, some as much as 50% , is when they get a special tax exemption from the Government they have to include, in the offerings, what ever mandates they tell you. Mandates vary by State, because of state regulations, but currently the Governments have imposed some 2,000 mandates and regulations nationwide, this is also the avenue by which Unions thought they would gain control small businesses.

Hopefully you can see how a Government provided health care plan can and will take over the employer provided plans. In fact the Government has been governing our health care for a long time. I think all this is part of the grand plan of supporting a case for Socialized Health Care. Ask your elected officials if they will drop their plan and join the one they are forcing on us??  Obama already said no.

                                                MY OPINION

I sort of think it would be easier, less costly, and portable if everybody obtained their own Health Care solution. Get the employers and Government out of the business of managing Health Care altogether, so that each individuals and families can pick the plan, with the coverage, they require.

Since the cost of most insurance plans average around $5,000 for families and half that for individuals, I think it a deduction covering the cost of our plan up to $5,000 for families and $2,500 for individuals and with no tax on benefits would work just find. People who do not pay taxes would get, if they file a 1040, a refund of the same amount after the insurance companies file a claim. Most of these people are already getting some sort of Government assistance.

OBAMA, THE SNAKE OIL SALES GUY

Remember the old western movies where you saw the guy roaming the west in a wagon that had painted on its side Dr. So and So wonder potions, a cure-all for everything even ingrown toenails. My Father used to call those guys, as well as the ones that came to our door to sell us something, “Snake Oil Salesmen”. I often wondered if he were alive what he would call President Obama.

Do you remember all the promises Obama made while on the campaign trail, far too many to mention in this BLOG. Well in my opinion he has broken 90% of those promises, which were enough to earn him the title of a “Snake Oil Salesman”.

Remember John McCain’s position on taxing employee’s healthcare benefits that Barack Obama was all over. Reporter Jim Geraght, a contributor to National Review On-Line and reported on The Patriot, said that during the 2008 campaign Obama spent $44 million on 16 different television ads hammering John McCain on this idea, according to research by Evan L. Tracey, founder and president of Campaign Media Analysis Group, a TNS Media Intelligence company. This message was a central theme and a significant percentage of the Obama campaign’s advertising in 2008,” Tracey said. His organization estimated last November that Obama’s campaign spent $250 million on television advertising, meaning that about 17 percent of all of Obama’s ads were denouncing McCain for this proposal. This is the advertisement that was all over TV:

John McCain: “I want to give every American a 5,000-dollar refundable tax credit.”

Announcer: Here’s the truth.

Barack Obama: “He says that he’s going to give you a 5,000-dollar tax credit. What he doesn’t tell you is that he is going to tax your employer-based health-care benefits for the first time ever. So what one hand giveth, the other hand taketh away.”

Announcer: John McCain. Instead of fixing health care, he wants to tax it.

Barack Obama: I’m Barack Obama, and I approve this message.

I see these people as the one’s who have nothing to sell but “grief” to the taxpayers and bottle it up in a container as big as the ones used on ships, then at the last hours before the shipment add a little package taped to it adding insult and 15% more injury. These add-ons are the requested amendments or earmarks from some of the dissenters who were going to vote NO and were used as bribes by the President and Speaker to get their YES vote.

But the real reason, and the reason the Speaker got out of Washington, was that she new there was a bullet from a smoking gun ready to find a target, that being an EPA report that was suppressed by the Obama administration and Congress this way she could claim she knew nothing about it.

A summary of that report follows:

Alan Carlin said “that the research that the EPA was relying on was at least three years out of date, and didn’t reflect the current data”.

Since when did liberals ever let facts get in the way of anything? It’s obvious the EPA suppressed this report because of pressure from the Obama administration and democrats on Capitol Hill.

Carlin’s report listed a number of recent developments he said the EPA did not consider, including that global temperatures have declined for 11 years; that new research predicts Atlantic hurricanes will be unaffected; that there’s “little evidence” that Greenland is shedding ice at expected levels; and that solar radiation has the largest single effect on the earth’s temperature. It appears that AL Gore is the Snake Oil Salesperson, making $100 Million. 

Alan Carlin of the EPA, the author of the 98 page report said this to of all places CBS News:

“It was his view that he would either have lost his job or working on something else,” Carlin said. “That was obviously coming from higher levels.”

Carlin was speaking of his boss, Al McGartland who told Carlin by email that the administration and the administrator have decided to move forward and that his [Carlin] comments didn’t help the legal or policy case for their decision to move forward.

Nancy Pelosi Snake Oil Salesperson like our “bunny friend” just kept on going, you know for Jobs, Jobs, Jobs, and more Jobs. In order to get this so called energy bill Aka. Cap and Trade, passed before her going on vacation, she started a campaign of bribery.

Pelosi does not usually meet with Republicans, but she met with at least seven GOP swingers. Five of them (Reps. Michael Castle (Del.), Mark Kirk (Ill.), Leonard Lance (N.J.), Frank LoBiondo (N.J.) and Dave Reichert (Wash.) subsequently backed the bill. Three other Republicans – Reps. Mary Bono Mack (Calif.), John McHugh (N.Y.) and Chris Smith (N.J.) had already backed the bill while still in committee.

Living in Mary Bono Mack’s District for 6 years she most likely got another couple of million to continue the Salton Sea study, which has been a major money sink hole for the last 12 years but is her late husband Sonny’s only claim to political fame. 

The fact of the matter is nobody knew what they were voting for, 300 pages were added in the last hours, except the ones who were bribed. Not one of our elected Democrat Representatives, with the possible exception of Snake Oil Producer Rep. Waxman read the 1,200 pages in this energy” Cap and Trade or Cap N Tax” bill. When any of the Democrats, on the news shows were asked about any specifics or if they read the whole bill the answered was NO while the Republicans answered yes. The Democrats answered specifics using the talking point statement “Millions of Jobs are Going to be Created” after which the Republican countered with “why are there 40 pages in the bill that deals with displace manufacturing and other sector workers, mostly union, who do not have the skills for the so-called “Green Jobs. What about the Coal Miners who would lose their occupation? They are expendable.   

Auto workers who have been laid off or fired will not be rehired by the automakers because their positions will have been eliminated and or replaced by new automation technologies. The recent lower and middle management personnel firings will not be called back because there will be a lot less workers to manage.  

If the Obama-Care plan becomes a government plan and competes with private sector plans we will see a defection from private and employer health care plans to the tune of at least 60,000,000 people right out of the chute (not by choice) which will put the deficit much, much higher than stated by the CBO. (Refer to my Obama-Care posting) It will add about 600,000 union jobs to the Government sector and about 6 million to the ranks of the unemployed. The newly unemployed will drive the benefit unemployment payments up, again adding to the deficit as well.     

I have a prediction for my readers. I predict if the Cap and Tax bill and the Obama-Care bills are passed, with any government control, we will see unemployment of at least 15% and our country’s deficit, over the next 30 years, will be $14,000,000,000.

Start sending your members of Congress E-Mails, Faxes, Letters, call them on the phone and express your concerns with these bills.

We have to defeat these bills or at the least delay them until 2010 so we can vote some of these Socialists nuts out of office.

President Obama is now going door to door selling his Snake Oil Obama-Care plan whatever that is.             

So we’re getting Universal Health Care are We?

I don’t know about you but why aren’t we involved in the creation or selection of our health care plan. Don’t we have too every October select which options we want and even in some cases we have to decide on new plans altogether. Who are these idiots who think they know more than the general population, we’ve made this far on our own.  

What ever happened to the fact that we were supposed to get the same Health Care that the members of Congress are getting? Only yesterday somebody let the cat out of the bag when he said that members of Congress are not participants in the proposed Obama health care plan. So why should we have to take what they, the Congress, feels is not good enough for them?

I know this Obama Health Care plan is really a Ted Kennedy plan which means the document will weigh at least 300 pounds, 800 pages and have more give-aways to all of the different groups, even building playgrounds, lighted sidewalks to run at night, and everything else that will exercise every thing down to your little finger, and don’t forget illegal immigrants, you know the ones Kennedy calls “Undocumented Americans”.

Obama said they will get the biggest bang for the buck by eliminating unnecessary medical testing then he told the lawyers lobby there would be no “CAP” on suing for malpractices. How do the Doctors know if the testing necessary or not until after they test? I know the answer to this one also. The Obama Care testing police will let the doctors know.   

By the way I keep hearing that we will be able to keep our current “Plan” but if it is from our employer they will tax our benefits to pay for the other plan. Isn’t that something special? I wonder if Members of Congress will have to pay tax on their benefits?

How are the plans from the Employers going to be portable? Does each employer you work for have to take on the previous employers plan? I have the answers to the questions, they aren’t portable and you will have to switch to the Obama-Care Government plan when you leave or if you get laid-off or fired.

How are the 95 million who are supposed to be uninsured and don’t pay taxes going to pay their Obama-Care? I know they aren’t. The middle class workers and seniors are.

In order to save Medicare and to pay for Obama-Care seniors will have their benefits severely curtailed because we are now, according to Obama, EXPENDABLE and care should not be given to extend our life, except for the seniors in Congress of course.

I think the Obama admistration or Congress should send us all a copy of the entire plan and give us 90 days to ask questions and another 30 days for them to respond with a marked up version.

The bottom line is we will not know what we are getting until it’s too late and believe me there won’t one Congressperson who will have read the whole thing, and just a few who read the summary.

Senator Ted Kennedy submitted the Obama-Care Plan document to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), by forklift, for a cost estimate. Get a load of this devil in the detail:

“The coverage of an additional 16 million people in the Kennedy plan is a net number. The CBO estimates 39 million people would join a federally-sponsored “gateway” health care plan by 2019, but that 15 million of them would join by leaving their employer-sponsored health plans for the federal program and another 8 million would join by quitting Medicaid and other state-sponsored health insurance plans -- in essence, 23 million people already covered would simply swap one form of coverage for the government’s “gateway” coverage.”

So we are providing health care to people who already have it, only now at a substantial cost to the Taxpayers.

In addition the CBO said, “its analysis did not include the President's proposal to pay for health-care reform in part by cutting government Medicare and Medicaid spending by more than $600 billion over the decade. But the CBO estimates did include $257 billion in tax increases, nearly the amount -- $326 billion -- proposed by the President over the decade.”

Taxes are going up which means us seniors will get less but pay more, not to save Medicare but to pay for Obama-Care

Let us start out with the question who do you trust when it comes to our national security? I tend to lean toward the CIA away from Pelosi. According to her own words she was only brief once but there were 40 such briefings she did not attend.

Pelosi stated:

“Of the 40 CIA briefings to Congress reported recently in the press, I was only briefed once, on September 4, 2002, as I have previously stated”.

The one she did attend she said she had her mind on her most important job of trying to get more Democrats elected in the next election along with a Democrat President so we could get healthcare and the other things the people wanted. Our National Security she had put on the back burner. She also said although she did not attend the other 39 briefings but she had sent an aid (or aids) which she has never named and was not told that interrogation techniques were used or being discussed. This is what is called “plausible deniability” or “throwing the expendable Aid under the bus”. We can only wait until the Aid or Aids get fired or let go if Pelosi gets defeated.

The poor person most likely has a confidentially signed in triplicate.

‘I was briefed on interrogation techniques the Administration was considering using in the future. The Administration advised that legal counsel for both the CIA and the Department of Justice had concluded that the techniques were legal. She said “I had no further briefings on techniques”.  

Next, she tries to validate her “memory fart”, or cover up by thinking the letter sent to Jane Harman on Feb. 23 2008 proves her position: (Pelosi’s website)

‘As we informed both you and the leadership of the Intelligence Committees last September, a number of Executive Branch lawyers including lawyers from the Department of Justice participated in the determination that, in the appropriate circumstances, the use of these techniques is fully consistent with U.S. law.’

Now she had to have the CIA Director tell the Press, I am sure at Obama’s insistence, which Pelosi used as proof the CIA may have not said what it said. 

“As reported in the press, a cover letter from CIA Director Panetta accompanying the briefings memo released this week concedes that the descriptions provided by the CIA may not be accurate”. Key word is “may”.

Now we have a CIA Director who “may” not believe his own people, so we are left with no answer to the question of “who said what to who”?

It appears we are not going find out, I say if in doubt throw her out.

There were other members of Congress at that briefing on Sept. 2, 2004. Guys like Porter Goss who gave their approval, encouragement, and even asked if they were, the CIA, doing enough.

Somebody is lying and I believe it is THE SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE 

I am sorry, this is unacceptable and something has to be done.

I was prepared to write about the Nancy Pelosi CIA thing but things are happening so fast, to stay current, is really faster than I can write.

I listened to Obama’s Cairo speech and I thought WOW what the heck was he thinking? I have to say Obama is a great speaker, thank God for the teleprompter, and he got some applause form the attendees. But who were the people there? We did not see them, so should we rule out the only ones applauding were the President’s entourage.

I do know there were at least three groups who weren’t there, Israel, Fatah and Hamas. Obama was talking to the people who have heard most of what he was saying before, at least since the Carter administration, however there was no mention of the “Palestinian Authority” (PA) which was defeated in the last Palestinian election by Hamas. The PA set up shop in the West Bank and is still considered by the U.S. and others as the leader of the Palestinian people.

From (IsraelNN.com) Even as U.S. President Barack Obama tells the world there must be a Palestinian state, the residents of such a “state” themselves say this is not a viable possibility.

A poll released this week shows that 51% of Arabs in Judea, Samaria and Gaza believe that unity between the two new Arab entities in the Land of Israel – Hamas-controlled Gaza and Fatah-ruled Judea and Samaria - will happen “only after a long time.” Another 27% says the split is permanent.

These two Palestinian groups, Fatah and Hamas, are at war with one another which equates to the same situation we faced it Iraq, and still face.

I am of the opinion that what the President did with this speech will elevate the tensions between the factions, where as Israel will speed up their expansion of the Gaza and Hamas will start lobbing more missiles into Israel.

In order to solve this problem Israel will have to pursue a SURG strategy much like the US did in Iraq. The possibility of that happening is ZERO since many of the people in the West Bank have relatives in Gaza and the US and international community will side with the Palestinians.

Many times since becoming President, Obama has said things that he has not considered the consequences, whether intended or unintended, by his talk. This is a major one because he essentially implied that if Israel took any offensive actions with Iran or Hamas the US would not support them, although he did say in Germany the Israel is our ally, playing to a different crowd I guess.
